What are you annoying RazPak for?

He said he is a Pakistani, and a Pakistani only, in order to show solidarity. End of story.

I think there is a widespread misconception between appreciating diversity and denying it.

If I say I am a particular ethnicity or religion, it doesn't mean other ethnicities or religions are somehow lesser. Similarly, it doesn't lessen my commitment to Pakistan in any way. It is simply stating a fact, like my weight or hair color.

My grandfather was from UP, my father was born n brought up in MP, my maternal grandpa was from Haryana, my mom was born n brought up in Maharastra, My sister is married in a Gujarati family...

Well, I'm not sure how it goes elsewhere, but in China if someone says they are "ethnically Chinese" then that just means they belong to one of the 56 ethnic groups that have historically resided in China.

I've never really had to clarify to another Chinese person that I am Han. Though to be fair they could easily guess that, since Cantonese and Hakka are Han by definition.

My father's family are originally from Chandannagar, West Bengal.

My uncle studied as an engineer in Jessore before the partition.

Due to my uncle (the eldest among his siblings), his entire family moved to East Pakistan. My grandfather who was an engineer passed away when my father was very young. My uncle joined the PAF as his first job, and it was a grand one. So, the younger sibling were dependent on him to further their studies.

My mother's family are from Chittagong, with Central Asian roots. And I was born there as well. My grandfather from that side was a banker and businessman.

All in all, I'm a Bengali. And grew mostly abroad :D

it's not applicable to all countries , it's possible ethically Indian,Chinese,Persian but not Americans(white), Australians ,Pakistanis , new Zealand it's NA.

For this we should define ethnicity first, it will be very complex.
