What Does the United States Get from its Relationship with Israel?

Dude talking to you about Israel is akin to talking to Gobbels about the ills of the Third Reich; you're that fair and unbaised in your assessment.
You've probably noticed that unlike the Nazis I'm both truthful and accurate. As for the "fair and unbiased" bit, you've noticed I don't engage in false equivalences, like saying both Israelis and Arabs are to blame for this-and-that. 'Cause if the Jews of Israel laid down their arms today, they'd be dead tomorrow, whereas if the Arabs did the same, there would be peace.

So please spare me the self-righteous sermons.
One of the hardest things for me here is to put my point across without sounding like a pompous a$$. I'm sure I'm failing. If you can suggest a better approach I'm all ears.

i think Israel is a victim of radical Islam and most of the non Muslim world can relate with them as every one up to some level are suffering due to radical Islam. Israel is fighting for its existing and It have right to fire every rocket and fire every bullet to protect it.Every country would do that and will do that. I am sad for loss of lives but the war is gonna cost some lives and war doesn't ask the religion. You are pakistani you country was willing to nuke India when we were Invading you so Hindus blood is blood too but you dint care, you wanted us dead.Everyone has right to protect its integrity and Israel is doing it and freedom on religious basis it is disease born in Muslims. If we are Majority we should have our country for Muslims why is that? WHAT IS LOGIC

He didn't ask you anyway.

The world has become more pro Israel in the last few decades because Arab countries have far less leverage over the global economy than they used to as the production of energy has increased in other parts of the world. It's difficult to imagine another action like that in 1973.

Idk where you have been but the world is becoming more pro Palestine, the last few years is proving as such. In 1973 Palestine could never have gotten the general assembly vote for their state to go their way.

In 1973 most countries in Africa and Latin America didn't even have diplomatic relations with Israel. Neither did half of Europe. Even some Arab countries do now.

Despite that Palestine is in a better position today than it ever was in the 70s.

General assembly vote doesn't matter, one country in the UNSC will always veto any resolution:

BBC News - America 'will veto' Palestinian UN bid

As it stands, the General Assembly vote in favor of recognizing a Palestinian state is not legally binding. It needs to cross the UNSC for that to happen, and America will 100% shut it down every time.

Almost all countries support a Palestinian state

A number of parliaments including the swedish, french, British and Spanish parliaments have come out in support of a Palestinian state thus was unthinkable in the past

even the allies of israel see the writing on the wall

the best scenario would be to separate israel from an increasing muslim/arab population

and Israel is standing in the wsy if this so the only option would be is wait until the arab population increases snd israelis take more land making a two state solution impossible and at that time the only israeli option would be to create more apartheid policies to keep the status quo or lose the dream of a jew state altogether

time is against israel snd its allies know this

The only thing israel gives the USA is a headache

Of course not Bhai @Armstrong , why would I be angry at you?

Come let's drink tea together with @al-Hasani as we listen to some music.

I should not be saying this but the first girl I fell in love with was also named Aisha and that song always reminds me of that.

Good ! :)

@al-Hasani ! :mad:

Don't bring that Arab into this; I still haven't forgiven him for inviting me to his place for vacations and feeding me dates every day three times a day for 2 weeks till I was almost diabetic ! :disagree:

On Topic: Nihonjin my Brother, you have to understand that Pakistanis in particular and Muslims in general are pretty emotional people especially when it comes to their fellow Muslims. We just don't appreciate the fact that Israel talks about curbing terrorism on one hand by flattening half a block in Gaza killing heaven's knows how many people while on the other when someone points that out to them they're suddenlydeclared Anti-Semetic and every thing from the Holocaust to Hitler and what not is brought in to rationalize the Israeli actions.

Yes Israel has a right to exist but so do the Palestinians and more so than the Israeli because the Palestinians didn't come from a thousand miles away with a rifle in one hand and a bible in the other clamoring about the land they encroached on being their Promised Land 'cause their Daddies and Granddaddies from a 1000 years ago lived here.

What did you just say Buttstrong:mad:? Arab food is the cuisine of 22 countries and one of the most diverse. Arabian cuisine (in particular Hijazi, Yemeni, Khaliji, Omani etc.) have a tremendous blend of herbs, spices, hot, sour and sweet. After all this is the land of incense and myrrh.:butcher:

When I got invited to Pakistan by Buttstrong The Magnificent you were so obsessed about putting curry in my water that I spent half of the visit in the bathroom sitting on your toilet.:tsk: You also backed 20 kg of Pakistani bread in my luggage. So much that I had to sit in the quarantine in the Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore for 1 month because they told me to eat it all before I could go back.:frown:

Picture says a thousand words:

Only one country voted against it. Guess who?

The americsns will always veto in favour of israel

but even they can see the demographic threat israel is facing and are trying to convince them to see sense

if it weren't for the israel firsters backed by the religious right the USA would long abandoned israel as not worth the political, financial and diplomatic headache it is

While that is true the Palestinian cause has more support world wide now than it ever has. Even though they probably still won't have a state now the public perception has tilted in their favor, this despite Israeli propaganda efforts.

As long as the sole superpower America continues to support Israel, there is little that can be changed on the ground.

“Israel's contribution to US military intelligence is greater than all NATO countries combined.”General Keegan, former chief of US Air Force Intelligence, asserted that “the scope of intelligence gained by the US from Israel is equal to five CIAs.” -- Senator Daniel Inouye

US special operations forces are trained in Israel in battle tactics and counter-terrorism experience.Israeli experience played a role in defeating terrorists in Iraq's “Sunni Triangle.” --Brig. General Michael Vane
Israel's destruction of a nuclear factory in Syria in 2007 and Iraq in 1981dealt serious deterrence to the anti-Western Syria-Iran-North Korea axis.

By destroying Soviet surface to air missiles in 1982, Israel was able to share information on tactics and technological information vital to the US military and defense industries. During the Cold War, Israel transferred to the US captured Soviet combat aircraft, radar and other military systems

Israel saved the Kingdom of Jordan from being invaded and taken over by Syria's Assad regime in 1970, avoiding a dramatic setback to US national security.

“Israel is the largest, most battle-tested and cost-effective US aircraft carrier, which does not require even one American soldier, cannot be sunk and is located in a critical region for American national security and economic interests. If Israel did not exist – the US would have to deploy a few additional aircraft carriers to the Mediterranean, along with tens of thousands of military personnel, costing the US taxpayers $20BN annually and dragging the US into additional regional and international confrontations.” -- the late General Alexander Haig, who was the Supreme Commander of NATO and US Secretary of State

Israel's purchases and deployment of new military technologies and systems, some of which are jointly developed, contribute to US national security, employment, research & development and exports to other allies. In addition, Israel is a battle-proven laboratory.

Israel's high tech industries and US subsidiaries have been instrumental in revolutionizing computing, telecommunication, medicine, nanotechnology, energy and water efficiencies that contributed to the booms of the 1990s and 2000s in the US.

So you cite a pro israeli source to explain how israel benefits America.

So called israeli 'intelligence' does nothing but spread lies like Saddam's wmds, Assad's so called chemical attack and bs about Iran's nuclear program for 30 years. They had a chance to give REAL intel in the run up to 9/11 but didn't share it.

Don't be dismayed, Sir, trust me I value your input. I appreciate reading a balanced array of points of reflection in any discussion forum; we should know each side's viewpoints and objectively make a decision after carefully reading and deliberation. Lastly, we in this defense forum community should not be quick to put down otheres based on their view, but respect it. So long as, of course, the other side is not trying to forcibly impose their views by threats or actual use of derogation. The latter is antithetical to any didactic platform.

Sincere Regards,
@Nihonjin1051
