What Does the United States Get from its Relationship with Israel?

1. Did i ever mention my position being in moral high ground? Did i claim this? If not, then why are you making things up?

US Congress passes Israel strategic partnership bill | Page 3

"American leaders have traditionally explained the foundations of the U.S.-Israel relationship by citing shared democratic values and the moral responsibility America bears to protect the small nation-state of the Jewish people."-Ninhonj

2. I haven't been posting bible verses, but it has been you, in an attempt to take the "moral high ground"

In the past you have.
4. As I said before in my last post, I DO NOT want to engage in religious debate with you because it is against forum rules. Keep everything policy related. Thanks.

This is not a religious debate. You support Israel out of religious sentiment as you've indicated in the past with references to Israel quoting the Bible. So we need to tackle source, your excuses of supporting injustice by using religion is unacceptable as you are contradictory to Jesus's views.

3. Can you debate without having to take it personal? Take a deep breath, and collect your thoughts.

So is your support for Israel for religious reasons? Not a debate just a question.

You are more then welcomed to keep your ideas Nihonjin

Japan policy is merely to maintain its status in world politics , its different dimension to problem

There are many Gulf countries that had proposed similar cooperation with Israel provided they mend their human rights issues

Infact I think even Saudia offered peace deal to Israel if I am not mistaken

The problem is when someone starts UNCONDITIONAL support of actions , then there is a moral issue - if there is such a thing as morality in war

i think Israel is a victim of radical Islam and most of the non Muslim world can relate with them as every one up to some level are suffering due to radical Islam. Israel is fighting for its existing and It have right to fire every rocket and fire every bullet to protect it.Every country would do that and will do that. I am sad for loss of lives but the war is gonna cost some lives and war doesn't ask the religion. You are pakistani you country was willing to nuke India when we were Invading you so Hindus blood is blood too but you dint care, you wanted us dead.Everyone has right to protect its integrity and Israel is doing it and freedom on religious basis it is disease born in Muslims. If we are Majority we should have our country for Muslims why is that? WHAT IS LOGIC

Absolutely correct and I do not accept a policy of Unconditional support to the State of Israel. In fact, a partner of a specific country should abide by agreements and if one partner reneges on a particular policy, it should be punished. One area of conflict that the United States and Israel have is the issue of shared military technology , which Israel sells to China, clearly a competitor of the United States. Israel should not be allowed to continue such duplicitous actions without suffering diplomatic repercussions. I'm sure there are many other issues wherein the United States is at odds with Israel.

The same thing goes with the recent military and industrial R&D agreement Japan had recently signed with Israel. With hopes in collaborating with each other in the field of missile defense, it would be pertinent that Israel not sell military technology that Japan would give Israel to third parties as it would be a conflict of interest. And in the event that Israel does do something objectionable such as that, I am sure that Tokyo would lever diplomatic consequences.

I'm in the position that friendship, military cooperation and trust is earned. It cannot just be given especially when a partner will implement certain policies and procedures that would affect another partner.

Why don't you believe that there should be diplomatic repercussions for their tens of thousands illegal settlements which are ongoing and expanding? Or their war crimes in Gaza? Or the siege in Gaza? Or the many violations of the Palestinian peoples basic rights in West Bank?

I do believe that there should be diplomatic repercussions levied on Israel. As for the article, this was an article that I posted from a source. Note, Hazzy, while I believe Israel profits American Foreign Policy, I don't agree with everything that Israel does , especially towards Palestinian civilians. You've known me since May when I joined, and I have not been silent on my objections to Israeli violence in Gaza, nor have I been silent regarding the issue of a Two State Solution. I support that agenda.

In fact, I support an independent Israel and Palestine.

Regards,

@Nihonjin1051 - Now you're not talking to me....are you ? :(

I promise I'll accept a Mrs.Nihonjin even if shes from Israel ! :undecided:

Just start talking to me again Brother !

A two state solution is inevitable, but the Palestinians need to figure out the best way to achieve that for themselves.
