What an Indian saw inside the Pakistan Army headquarters

We need a Op-Force "Safron Corp" in the Pakistan Army. Not of the actual troops on a day to day basis, but the officers. From lowest commissioned officers and NCOs, all the way up to generals and even a mock Indian Army Chief, played by one of our corp commanders. They would eat, sleep, live as the Indians do. The goal would be to understand how the enemy thinks. As a rotating position (for at least 1-1.5 years) in an Army officers career, into and out of this flag officer force, it would be the best way to get into the mind set of the enemy. Going through this kind of training would also teach junior officers the differences between the enemy's bark and its actual bite. This would also be great for Psychological and Intelligence forces.

When exercises have to be done against Other Pakistani corps, the equipment, tactics, and general mindset can be taught to an elite corp of 20,000 troops. (training with elements of the Air Force and Navy would be integrated as well to mimic Col-Start Strike Corps as best possible) They would operate against regular Pakistani corps with the latest enemy strategies.

To fund the extra costs; Pakistan can offer the services of this Op-Force to our mid-east allies for long term exercises. This training will help keep Pakistani allies sharp as well. Pakistan can learn to simulate any number of enemies of our allies, through educating our officer corp as well as integrating modern information warfare, space warfare, EW, Cyber, Psych, Special Forces, and Intelligence operations.

Pakistan sits at the crossroads of Southern Eurasia, it needs to leverage its experience to redouble its defenses.
good concept but you need a bottomless purse like American military to meet the financial requirements.

Or the will of the soviets, during the cold war they made entire replicas of sections of US cities to better train thier spies.

Study the KITAP!! You get a “crude” understanding of your nemesis....

For example, they believe in conjectures, not the TRUTH...

Can you elaborate on the word "KITAP" and how its study has been applied elsewhere

It’s the Kuran-i Kerim...

When the Muslims adhered to it’s teaching they ruled the world. When they left it they’re ruled by the world...

We have to take Kur’an away from the Muslims, or make them forget it; otherwise, we can’t subjugate them - Benjamin Disraeli, the British PM at the 19th century

The best decision of the decade made was for Pakistan to stay out of the Yemen mess.
Even if the Saudis and Emeratis had offered to double up the armed forces in terms of funding, it would not have made up for the social upheaval in the Pakistani society that would have resulted with our involvement. As such tactical benefits rarely ever justify the strategic damage that can be incurred.

For this, NS and his government of the day deserve credit even though I am no fan of his!

I would also say that had Pakistan gone in overtly and militarily in Yemen (and btw this is not to say Pakistan is not assisting currently), the impact of that would have been worse than Pakistan's decision to aid the Afghans against the Soviets in 79.

Noora had given assurances to the saudis n the emeratis of PA involvement in Yemen. It was PA That was dead set against it and made sure that the people n the parliament were against it too.
So noora had to eat his words n back track on his commitment

I am not so sure

I think our units were quietly sent there and this is why Gen Rahil is also in KSA. sadly those that have died wont return back in coffins and might be buried there. this is just an opinion based on some string of stories and clarifications by army,

Out of a clear blue sky, a note like this one! I am gobsmacked.

Salut, Sir.

PS: About ten minutes later - still feeling concussed.
@Nilgiri @hellfire @Kaniska @Tom M

Look at these notes above (#8 and #12). I'm not saying they can achieve even a close degree of similarity (how would they get simply the variations within Tamil Nadu?) but the insight is hugely positive and encouraging. And so, so different from the usual crap.
Exactly...Just to add one step further, it is a good idea when your adversary would like to know more about us...

And one thing i learned after my stay in PDF..There are still many wonderful people who are across the border in Pakistan with whom we should talk and share our opinion...At the end of the day, India is not expecting any additional territory from Pakistan....It is just a matter where both of should learn to have a habbit of staying aide by side although we are different to each other

Not true, would have come out in the media, both domestically and internationally.

Based on what I know, none of Pakistani personnel are involved in active operations. Those who have been deputed, they are in an advisory, planning capacity. There is a very specific reason for this. There is no chance that casualties occurring overseas are getting buried elsewhere and being hidden from the public. There is no such appetite for this in Pakistan and neither can it remain a secret for long given Yemen is looked upon strictly as a Muslim on Muslim kind of a war.

Keep in mind that bodies of our officers and men used to be flown back even from East Pakistan in 1971 and to think that in this day and age, families would accept not getting the bodies back of their family members dying in another Muslim country is unheard of and not something that can be cloaked by any kind of censor.

More importantly, the GoP and the Army itself does not want to be involved in a shooting war. There are plenty of Saudi and Emerati troops on the ground and they are more than willing to fight their own literal and proverbial battles.

No Pakistani armed forces personal is or was in any combat situation any where in or around in the middleast since at least the commencement of the Yemen war.
95% of our troops deployment in Saudi Arabia are on training missions while some are on deputation serving in non combat roles and the rest are performing duties as close protection.
All of gen. Raheels staff consists of retired PA personal.
The brigade plus that was promised is yet to materialise as PA is already stretched to its limit, specially with things heating up on our eastern side.
Having said that ways things r looking up with the saudis they might be willing to pay for raising a div. From the ground up with PA officers in charge and even if that was to happen than they will only be deployed to defend SA and not to operate outside the borders of S.A.
N this talk of our boys dieing in the sands of Arabia n their bodies being burried their n all this being hidden from their families n the Pak public is the biggest piece of horse crap that I have heard in some time.
