Were the ancestors of MQM leaders the real founders of Pakistan?

Urdu speaking along with Punjaab. But the real contribution came from Bengalis

We migrants were the ones who partly threw Bengal away. Whose wish was it that urdu be imposed? Exactly only we spoke urdu ad we tried to impose it on Bengalis. The Punjabis are the focus of our constant blame but ultimately the bullet to the head of this nation was pulled by us.

.
agree but not completely ... we as nation our memory is so weak , if people dont remind them time to time , they start calling them traitors , for a hint .. My father live many years in Punjab , between Punjabi's .. and i know how exactly they are :)

how ?

How many muslim seats were won from bengal in 46 elections ?

Here comes the we have been oppressed brigade... with the justification for supporting a political party involved in rigging, bhatta khori and violent terrorism. Qoute them MQM birth date 1984. Violence from 1986-1996- 10000+ killed 3000 killed from 1985-1990. MQM and violence are intertwined, statistics point to it.

Its our choice whether we want to be the ones who destroy Pakistan with our own hands or vote with our concious, refusing ethnofacist parties like the PPP, MQM, ANP among others. All these parties are part of the problem andeach has leaders which have at least once said they do not believe in Pakistan:

Where Wali Khan said he is Pashtun first and Pakistani last:
Ethnicity, Nationalism, and Minority Rights - Google Books

Where MQM terror chief calls partition a blunder:

Where Hakim Ali Zardari calls Jinnah a suwar ka bacha

Decide who you vouch for people of Pakistan. A united, one Pakistan or a second break up like that of Bengal. Because the seeds of such a seperation are already within us. MQM has committed treason with Pakistan. If someone doesn't believe this just talk once with Syed Jamaluddin and ask him what his relationship was with the MQM.

Urdu and Bengali Muslims were the key force behind Pakistan

Majority of MQM followers are low low middle class and are semi-literate.

People with whom you cant reason, wean them away from supporting a violent brand of politics are jaahil, not matter from which university they have degree from.

The 'education' advantage that MQMers talk about is not an advantage to them anymore. Punjabis and Pashtoon, if I have to argue on linguistic lines (which I absolutely hate to do!) have become more educated than these neem-jaahil following a neem-paagal of London.

I tend to agree in part. However I would like to note that obviously there are many people above lower middle class who support the MQM. Pulling them away from terror mafia is like raping them. You can do anything eg show them the confessions of Saulat Mirza and Ajmal Pahari. They will not give the MQM up and admit it is a terrorist organization.

The situation and circumstances however are very similar to that of Bengal. These people support their political party or their ethnicity more than Pakistan. Muhajirs have a gdp per capita 13000 ruppees higher than Punjabis who are the second most successful ethnicity in Pakistan. Still we like to whine for more and more rights when we were supposed to be the glue for the nation. My beef with the elders on Pakistani side is instead of developing the nation and trying to ensure equal rights to each and every Pakistani citizen we took part in the ethnic game and kept asking for a larger portion of the pie. If we make one mistake with the MQM it can be another case of Bengal for us. Altaf should have been arrested in the early 80's when he and fellow students were beating up and shooting at Pashtun kids.

We can expect the muslims left in what now became India to become part of an anti Pakistani worldview even though as my story relates there are many who still choose Pakistan over India, but we cannot forgive the Altaf Hussains and Hakim Ali Zardaris of Pakistan. Both have denied belief in Pakistan.

It would be interesting to note that Jinnah did not want us to become "Muhajirs"... he believed once we came we would merge with the local ethnic groups like Pashtuns and Sindhis. In fact Jinnah never even assumed ethnicity to be a problem like religion.

The problem is ours regardless. We had to unite the nation not divide it on the base of ethnicity. We should have either merged as pashtuns/sindhis/balochs/punjabis or called ourselves our real identity (Lucknowi, Deccan, Madrasi)That and reclaiming my original Lucknonwi identity I have done.

@dexter @HRK - Quaid-e-Azam bhi kiya Altaf Bhai....Altaf Bhai karteii rehteiii theiii ? :unsure:

I heard the Quaid used to say 'After me a man will come who will take Pakistan forward and make it the greatest country in the world and realize our dreams that we dreamt - But most of the time that man would be on PDF by the name of Armstrong' ! :ashamed:

The Bengalis made Pakistan and were the ones truly sure about it, the rest(apart from a percentage in UP, a few Business leaders in Punjab.. and a few Sindhis) just ended up playing along hoping for something better.

Altaf Hussain is a paagal. He has destroyed so many lives for this tehreek.

Objectivity, which is the victim discussing with an MQMer, is the first casualty when the drive you have is your ethnicity. This is the opium LAtaf has given these so called 'muhajirs'.

They say they were the people who created this country. If this is their country, why they are still muhajirs? This terminology is dodgy and devious. Also, these Urdu speaking MQM supporters have this superiority complex. They think they are educated and cultured. Once they follow MQM and its violent politics, they reveal their culture and education.

Most of them come from very deprived and backward parts of India and actually coming to Pakistan gave them a lot than they could have expected.

This is true of all people who migrated to Pakistan. Not just 'muhajirs'. Since day one of MQM active politics, instead of uniting the nation, it has been dividing it. I some time feel, MQM playing the role of enemies. They have fight with all ethnicities in the peak of their power - pathans, punjabis and sindhis.

This type of politics is simply not acceptable. Middle class rights were trampled by the powerful 'elite' of the country. This 'elite' is always an exploitative club. Calling it one ethnicity or another and then targeting those ethnicities as your enemy is what has been a corner stone of MQM violent politics.

Arresting Altaf in late 80s or 90s was not possible. He was powerful then. Giving MQM political defeat in a free and fair election is a way to go. Also, this relentless operation against all terrorists, will further weaken this party or to say more explicitly, this brand of politics.

This is slightly off the mark.

Following is a table that shows total number of seats per province and number of seats that were won by the Muslim league.

Capture.JPG

Muslim League won a total of 435 seats that represent about 86.45% of Muslim vote in contrast to only 4.4% votes that went to Congress. Of these 435 seats, about 50% came from those provinces of India that were never going to be the part of Pakistan. In other words, Muslims from these provinces made great sacrifice and paved the way for the Muslim League to emerge as the party representing the majority of the Muslims of the British India.

Seats won by the ML in Bengal were 26% of the total seats won by ML and 49.13% of seats won by ML in Punjab, NWFP, and Sindh. If you go by the percentage of ML seats, both Punjab and Sindh are not too far behind Bengal (45.2%) with 42.71 and 45% seats respectively.

In a nut shell, Muslims scattered throughout British India played their part and no single ethnicity can be credited with the creation of Pakistan.

Can't Understand why, these kind of wasted subject kept poping, here & there?
Is that s what a united Pakistani nation could be?
Or will it makes any situation, better in urban sindh?
Really stupid brains less, brain storming it is, & really exploring more hate within the dying nation ?

Supporting MQM is an insult for Pakistan loving patriotic people who call themselves urdu speakers though I am against the use of such term myself. MQM terror chief Altaf called partition a blunder and demanded India give panah to us. So whoever is supporting the MQM has no love for Pakistan.

Zia created MQM using ISI . What does that says about Military or its intelligence Wing?

The Pakistani army created the MQM to fight the PPP in the early 1980s
