Politcal reasons. Jayalalitha taking revenge as deal between Jaya TV and Kamal Hassan didn't go through regarding this film. Even Film Distributors were angry at Kamal.

It has nothing to do with sentiments. Few fringe groups acting as Jayalalitha playing politics.

Well dude the art dont see the religion. The plot refers to Afghan Taliban. Indian Muslims were nowhere shown bad in the film. Reviews are by far excellent.
