Isn't Pakistan's narrative molded and shaped by the establishment, most of whome come from the Indus region? The Gilgit Baltistanis want to be a part of Pakistan. They want to vote and have elected MPAs and MNAs but they can't because the establishment is so hung up on Kashmir. There is no voice for tribal Pathans, Balochs, Thari, Gilgiti, Muhajirs in the Pakistan narrative. Only Punjabi, Sindhis and urbanized Pathans from Mardan-Attock area decide the Pakistani narrative.
I am not blaming Punjabis. I am just saying Pakistan has a very centralized system. Every area has its own issues. Why is Thar overlooked when majority of Pakistan's coal comes from there? Or why is Waziristan overlooked? We are an agricultural cotton and sugar growing country because the establishment derives from that area and they can only think through their lens.
