UASF Col. Discusses India's SU-30 MKI's Poor Performance in the Red Flag Air Force Exercise. Part 1.

UASF Col. Discusses India's SU-30 MKI's Poor Performance in the Red Flag Air Force Exercise. Part 2.

Indian News upset at the "Offensive" video by USAF Col. Terrence Fornof

USAF Col. Terrence Fornof gives lecture on the Red Flag Air Force Exercise 08, an F-15 pilot and the Director of the Requirements and Testing office at the United States Air Force Warfare Center, Nellis AFB, Nev. Indo-US Red Flag Air Force Exercise Lecture 2008

Red Flag Air Force Exercise 2008 is where USA's F-15's and F-16 Pilots out-performed India's SU-30MKI's. The exercises where held in Western USA, it is believed this exercise was to train Indian Air Force to skillfully attack strategic locations in Pakistan...

Summary: The USAF Col. in the video concluded that India's SU-30 MKI is overrated and does not farewell against F-15's and F-16's. Also that the Raptor also performs better than India's Su-30 MKI.

Great Analytical Video! Su-30 & F-22 Airshow Manuevers in Sync. Notice how the Su-30 under performs against rival Fighter Jets!

USAF-IAF Red Flag Exercise 2008. USAF-IAF training to attack Pakistan (Part. 1)???

USAF-IAF Red Flag Exercise 2008. USAF-IAF training to attack Pakistan (Part. 2)???

These videos discuss further the possibility of the USAF training IAF to make strategic surgical strikes against Pakistan's Nuclear Asset.

I am even more happier now :D

The Sukhoi-30MKI [a 4.5 gen aircrafts] is recieving parity with the F-22 Raptor [a 5th gen aircraft] Air superiority aircraft

We think just like each other A1Kaid :)

Well actually no real parity, more like mere/limited relativity and similarity. The Su-30MKI vs F-22 does not farewell in turn-rate comparison, speed, and it's radar tech not as good...Don't get me wrong SU-30MKI is good to have and a nice fighter jet, perhaps to good for IAF pilots...

F-16 comparison with Pakistan's JF-17...Take a look.

If JF-17 is up at par with F-16 in many aspects and factors (but not all) then perhaps with logic we can conclude Pakistan's JF-17 outperforms India's SU-30MKI. As it has been noted that the SU-30MKI fails to reach full or nearly full parity with with F-16.

***NOTE The JF-17 shown here is most likely the SBP (Small Batach Production) which were used in Pakistan's National Day Parade.

But as a 5th Gen Air Superiority aircraft, the F-22 is expected [considering the price and technology] to outperform a 4.5 gen mulit-role Su-30 MKI.

Actuall it should have outperformed the Su-30 by a larger margin and nobody should have felt it necessary to prepare a comapritive video.

but the margin of outperformance prompted them to prepare one
just a statement from the uploader
Some stunning things these aircraft do at airshows are basically the same
not nearly but basically :)

This thread is mainly about The Red Flag Exercise 2008, also I admit the Su-30MKI is a good fighter Jet but in the hands of IAF did not perform up to high levels at the Red Flag Exercise.

***NOTE the video of the Su-30 vs F-22 most likely it is a Russian Pilot in the cockpit of the Su-30, so yeah it may perform better under Russian pilots...

But how were you able to draw this conclusion?
Nowhere has it been mentioned that the F-16s performance is superior to that of the F-22.
It has always been accpeted that the F-22 is the most advanced combat aircraft in serivce anywhere in the world surpassing the combat performance of any other aircraft

and the Su30 MKI was compared with that of the F-22 and it came comparable enough to prompt videos to be made about it

If it all anything, the video is a criticism of F-22 inspite of being a 5th gen aircraft, have its mameouvres to be matched by the 4.5th gen Su-30 MKI

As it has been noted that the SU-30MKI fails to reach full or nearly full parity with with F-16.

in what respect would that be - there appears to be no data avaiable to support this statement
[only performance wrt the aircraft performance to be considered - not cost or amount of fuel consumed]

***NOTE the video of the Su-30 vs F-22 most likely it is a Russian Pilot in the cockpit of the Su-30, so yeah it may perform better under Russian pilots...

the video of the Su-30MKI performing with the pink trails was shot at Aero India 2005

Not really, that's your limited knowledge about the MKI and blind patriotism(jealousy embedded)that is making the conclusion.Actually the IAF had many handicaps, starting from the Bars in training mode, non compatibility of the Russian datalink with the Link-16,young pilots mostly from mIg-21 Sqns etc.Still they did an excellent job of executing the assignments, please note that the mission execution rate was 90%,the highest among the participating forces. So relax,we know the capability of the MKI and the PAF pilots who faces the plane will also come to know about it.

Thanks.

heeeeee indian was without computer pic with there own detalink russian made.lol

what the guy said su-30 no were near the raptar

woooooow i think guy will say true and he never insult indian air force.what a joke by indian tv take action against the guy wich show mirer IAF.

In the "Indian anger grows over offensive USAF comments" video, the sweet looking host questions whether disciplinary action against the USAF officer will be carried out... For what, speaking the truth?

How the Indians like suppressing the truth. Fact is, Col. Fornof was not only comparing the SU30 to the Raptor, but also to legacy era aircraft which proved superior as well (F-15 and F-16).

Since you were so kind enough to raise the issue of datalink for me [how malleable are you ;)], I would like to point it out to you that the Theatre information was being transferred using the Link-16 Data Exchange protocol. It is a standard NATO-compliant protocol.

It is a protocol used by NATO aircrafts to transfer data among other aircrafts of NATO nations

A little reading about the Sukhoi-30, would enlighten you to the fact that the Sukhoi-30 is a Russian aircraft

Further reading about Geo-politics would reveal to you that NATO as a body was set up to counter the former U.S.S.R's [now called Russia] military might

Development of NATO's weapon system platform took special care to deny the Russians access to their encrypted data. Similar care was taken by the Russians wrt NATO. Even now post-cold War, Russia's relation and outlook towards NATO is at best Cold
The intelligent person that you are, using your power of deduction and analysis, please tell me why on Earth, would NATO develop a protocol that can be tapped into and used by a Russian aircraft

As for the Su-30MKI, India is not a NATO country [lol!! pity that I have to clarify even these facts here] and the Indian Air Force's doctrine does not include participation in NATO's aerial combat operation.

So, dearest of dear friend Imran Khan, would you be in a position to explain the rationale behind India wanting to equip a Su-30MKI with a Type-16 data link - or would you argue that just because India was going to participate in the Red flag 2008 exercise, it should have purchased these datalinks hardwares

[the correct terminology you should have used was theater information, but after having spent nearly a month on this forum, I am always prepared to read such typo-filled incorrect terminology from you. It is quite hilarious actually ]
