Nancy Pelosi trip was a trap.
Likely she had a parachute strapped and ready to jump. Afterall it was a military plane.

What do you think China will do now? Now that a senior US Politician has visited Taiwan apart from sabre rattling?

Will they invade Taiwan?

Obviously they will take some symbolic measures like sanctions on some Taiwan products and military exercises or patrols close to Taiwan, and that's it. CCP is more wary of any war and economic consequences that entails for its economy. So they will play it safe as always. They are not Russia(a country used to war/fighting/invasions and domination) to be honest , so their establishment is more geared towards appeasement and self restraint. Which I think is a good thing .

SO NOTHING DRASTIC LIKE WAR WILL HAPPEN. In a few weeks/month everybody will forget about this, only Xi Jinping will be in a tough position as his rivals might use this to paint him as weak. So politically it might affect his position somehow, though not by much giving his absolute hold and control over the Party.

To be honest, even as a chinese ultra nationalist , you should remain silent to be honest. Everyone can see that this was big humiliation for the CCP(not China). Even Chinese supporters can clearly see this, so i don't see what excuse you can give here.
As I said, Xi made a big blunder. He shouldn't have publicly declared his intention to retaliate through military means while knowing China won't do anything like that. It has just made him look weak and empty talk. It's actually a disgrace to him to be honest. He shouldn't have blown this trip out of proportion only to do nothing to Pelosi trip later. If he was my leader I will rightly criticise his policy here.

The way I see it - when china said it will take military action - a lot of people assumed this meant militarily intercepting Pelosi flight. Now china knew people were thinking that but did not bother deny it, as maybe they were thinking this ambiguity will help them. Ofcourse china need not answer to rest of world what action it really had in mind but this non-denial led the people to think china chickened out.

USA long term plan is to move away from China and also Taiwan for critical goods supply, this is why they made those trade deal with manufacturing countries in Asia Pacific region. I am disagree here, it will be seen even weaker if China doesnt make strong statement over Pelosi visit.

No body will challenge US for the next one decade in term of military. If Chinese people think CCP should shot down Pelosi plane than Chine citizens are really dumb

China has not supported Russia's war yet. A majority of Chinese people supports the Russian effort though. Their number decidedly overwhelms those supporting Ukraine. They scooped up all the Russian products they could and kept the Russian farms, factories, transportation industries busy and profitable.

Come winter Chinese government could throw its support behind should Russia's energy war elevate its tension with the West.

That might have been a reasonable argument if China had not tried to bully US by officially threatening to shoot down a US congresswomans plane. They should have stated that they are being reasonable before the visit.
Should have had that reasonableness excuse before the visit and threats, instead now that they have been humiliated and their weakness of failing to follow up on their threats laid bare, they said China will not allow Pelosi to land in Taiwan and their military will react, we all are witness to what happened.
Pelosi come, Pelosi go.
Now China can shoot as many rockets as they like, but when her plane was in the air, and two US carriers in the straits, no Chinese plane or ship was ever seen challenging them.
Nobody cares now how many rockets they shoot in the empty waters now.
