US Senate warns Obama on Rouhani in letter signed by 76 lawmakers

It's foolish of the American government to not reach out and read the signals. Iranians elected a moderate not some hard liner whacko and even then certain lobbies and profiteers insist on being at odds with Iran.

Very stupid policy of Obama and whoever REALLY is in charge of that country

.
Same with Kashmir. What are you exactly expecting the Arab or for that matter MUSLIM countries (last time I checked we Arabs are not the only Muslims) to do when India is a atomic power with a population consisting of 1.2 billion people? Unlike the Arab world which is currently in turmoil, at least large parts of it, and not fully united? And which country do you think that the Western/Christian world would back? You make that guess.

Arab world was able to muster up all the unity in the world for the Palestinians because they too were Arabs & successfully championed it as a Muslim Issue to the rest of the Muslim World as opposed to Arabs being duped by the Brits, the Zionist & other Colonials into letting the Jewish Settlers in before they took over the land & told the Arabs to foOk off - Compared to Kashmir that sounds like a Real Estate dispute more than anything else !

Maybe you should've made a sales pitch to Donald Trump instead of beating the drums of war across the length & breath od the Muslim World that compelled idiots within our Establishments to send pilots & other manpower in every Arab-Israeli War only to find out an enemy that you outnumbers & outgunned from all sides & vastly so defeating you in a matter of days - Twice we found out that we had arrived too little too late.

But still we're not asking you to Nuke India or even go to War with them ! God help us if we ever wagered on the superior fighting prowess of the Arab Armies.

But entering into Joint-Ventures, Strategic Economic Linkages, the occasional Defense Deals & smooching their Politicians whenever they arrive as if that was the most important relationship to cultivate is hardly something one does with someone who routinely kills or maims your Best Non-Arab Bud !

Besides Arab help to Kashmir is not insigifincant.

You're right its not insignificant...its laughable !

Whether you like it or not then well over 200 million (more than all of Pakistan's Muslims) Indians are actually Muslims some of which have ties to the Arab world in places such as Kerala or even ancestral ties. India is not Liechtenstein so having some kind of relations with them is as normal as having relations with USA, China, Russia or the other main WORLD POWERS.

Besides 2.5 MILLION Indians, mostly Muslims, happen to live, work and contribute to KSA. We cannot just ignore them.
Moreover KSA has already picked sides long ago. Pakistan is our main non-Arab Muslim ally. If you can't see that then further discussion is pointless.

Anyway I know that you have a problem with Arabs but try to think in the wider picture for once.

Oh so you're going to play the Muslim Card of all things !

And what are we ? What are the Kashmiris ?

Wait aren't there Israeli Arabs ?

Surely you should recognize the State of Israel thereby you'd have the proper means to diplomatically approach the poor & mistreated Israeli Arabs & champion their cause ! Maybe even look towards greater Economic Linkages with Israel - After all Money Talks while BS Walks....even the Knesset would be amenable to your demands when you're companies convey their displeasure with the apartheid against Israeli Arabs !

But no so help us God - In India we've got 200 million Muslims (actually its less than that) who've we've got to reach out to & India isn't Liechtenstein so we must maintain the very best of relations with them. You know they're a huge economy, a nuclear power & it always good to profit from that - Kashmiris...Kashmiris who ? Oh those sorry arsed MOFOs - They can go foOk themselves...we've got some Riyals to make !

I do hope that the next time you talk about having picked sides & Pakistan being your main non-Arab Ally you'd have the courage to convey all of the above to the women who were raped by your Not-Liechtenstein, the children made orphaned, the adults who've disappeared without a trace, the mass graves & the many extra judicial killings in Kashmir. I hope that you'd be able to tell Pakistan too that it doesn't mean sh*t to us what Not-Liechtenstein does in Baluchistan, in Afghanistan, in the Media & on the International Turf, to Pakistan because well they're just not Liechtenstein !

Just to leave you with one story, just one of many thousands & incidentally not even one investigated by Pakistanis but by Indians at the East Punjab Human Rights Organization as part of an entire Report on Human Rights Abuses in Kashmir & investigated by Justice (R) A.S Baine, Major General (R) Narinder Singh, Dr.Sukhjit Kaur Gill & Balwant Singh - All Indians:

'In Handwara, during the house to house searches, by the paramilitary forces, they misbehaved with women, cut their hair, took away cash & gold & men & women were beaten. Women were stripped naked & raped. One girl was gangraped before 4 males & female members of her family. Since then she has been living with her mother's sister out of shame. She was raped when she was performing the last namaz of the day. Her cousin left the house next day and has not returned since. Another girl shifted from Sringar to Hadwara. She was beaten & raped. Her second sister jumped from the first floor window on the road & broke her legs.' (Freedom Struggle in Kashmir, Page 328)

And just one for the road :

'At about midnight of 23rd April, a group of army men from 13 Raj Rifles unit came to the village. They went into three houses, one after the other & sexually assaulted the women. At the house of Abdul Ahad Mir, who has seven daughters, only one of them is married - the army men entered, while the officer stood outside & only seemed to be interested in searching the women the women, allegedly, for weapons concealed in their clothes (that they had on while sleeping). The married sister was sexually assaulted along with 4 other sisters.

Next the Raj Rifles men went on to a neighboring house where the woman was alone with her young son & daughter. Her husband was on duty. He works for the Beacon, the Indian Army's Border Roads Organization, as a driver. The soldiers went and knocked upon the door at the back. She thought they had come to drink water and opened the door...then then said you have a pistol hidden in your clothes and forcibly removed her clothes & raped her. This time it was the commander "with the French-cut Beard" who committed the assault.

Then the soldiers went to another neighboring house that of Ghulam Qadir Wani, whose wife Khati and daughter Naza spoke to our team. Khati told us that it was nearly 1:45 A.M by the time they reached her house. They broke the window, showed the torch inside and tried to come in, but there was a mesh that prevented them. Then they broke the door open and came in. Khati was drawn on the floor & she was threatened that she would be shot if she shouted or tried to put on the lights. Then the soldiers raped her daughters Naza & Fareeda.'

Then these indians want to come here and cry about pandits left and right. The pandits have it easy compared to what kashmiri muslims have to go through. Don't worry though the kashmiri struggle is legitimate and remember what Bhutto once said, if need be Pakistanis will fight India for 1000 years and InshAllah kashmir will be free.

We are not getting into war with anyone except India. What you have implied is way too hypothetical for being true, as we have a very close working relationship with the Iranians, in the areas of trade, economics, cultural exchanges and counter terrorism.

For the protection of Pakistan? My friend a lot of your countrymen and other Arabs spilled blood for our clandestine war against Soviet Union. Not just, that Egypt was the 2nd largest source of Arms supply to the Mujahideen.

Just some volunteers here and there being used as gunpowder, we want to see state armies. Financial support is nothing that should be considered as worthy help or them siding with you. Since usually it comes from oil sales, no effort whatsoever.

.
When i said cost, i meant in more than just monetary. Human cost, infrastructural, etc. We don't need a "revolution", at least not the bloody kinds being witnessed in the ME. We need a revolution of the hearts and minds, a revival of strong Nationalist Sentiments amongst the population. Eventually all of the old guard in the Armed Forces will be replaced with the next generation.

I am of the opinion that the corruption in Pakistan is too ingrained in the system and so the system itself needs to be completely washed clean with blood. We can agree to disagree.

The Soviet was a serious threat to the integrity of Pakistan.

Not really , mate .

The Soviet Union never by its actions and statements indicated that its ultimate aim was to come to warm waters of Pakistan , you are free to prove me wrong here . This was always an assumption which was raised to disproportionate levels by the Americans and the Saudis for their own interests and blindly endorsed by the Pakistani leaders . Why ? Because Moscow only entered Afghanistan to provide some stability to the communist regime which was fast falling apart . Even then , its top commanders repeatedly warned that ' it was an exercise in futility ' and ' all the king's men and all the king's horses ' couldn't fix that country . " We believe it would be a fatal mistake to commit ground troops. If our troops went in, the situation in your country would not improve. On the contrary, it would get worse. Our troops would have to struggle not only with an external aggressor, but with a significant part of your own people. And the people would never forgive such things" — Alexei Kosygin, the Chairman of the USSR Council of Ministers . Similar concerns would be raised by other Soviet leaders " full Soviet intervention "would only play into the hands of our enemies – both yours and ours " - Leonid Brezhnev, the Soviet head of state . There's another famous one from Gorbachev - then the General Secretary of the Soviet Communist party that " The main reason that there has been no national consolidation so far is that Comrade Karmal is hoping to continue sitting in Kabul with our help ". There is plenty of evidence to support the fact that the Soviets were much reluctant to act in Afghanistan which they believed was a lost cause , can then the Soviets be expected to try to invade Pakistan for warm waters if they would have controlled the situation in Afghanistan ? I , personally , do not think so . An arrangement on the other hand with Islamabad once they consolidated their power in that country for access to ports , is more believable .

Sir we have world's 7th largest standing armed forces, 6th most heavily armed civilian population in the world, ability to strike 20kms-4000kms with stand off weapons, and a credible nuclear arsenal, large stockpile of bio/chemical weapons and credible strategic EMP capability. We have a rather large military industrial complex, 2nd only to Turkey in the Muslim world.

We 'don't need' anyone to fight for us, as we have enough fire/manpower to fight our way against our principle threat, India. What accounts for 'help' in our case is not men but material, either oil supply, supply line, food, etc to keep us in the battle for as long as needed. We don't seek hostilities with anyone, not even with the Indians, we just want to be left alone, but if we are fuked with, we will fukk back with lethal force, Pakistan is a beehive , we won't respond until poked into.

We are lucky to have friends who care about our nation's security and prosperity, we just wish them to give us their diplomatic support. Pakistan is more than capable of defending against India.

Its a bilateral issue , you see , so no one needs to interfere . On the other hand , Syria and Palestine are quite the Ummah problem so religious over zealous , instead of working for the betterment on their own country , will protest , burn tires , burn flags and disrupt the lives of people in Pakistan .

Since , when have we ever signed a defense co-operation deal with an enemy of GCC for anyone to justify that ? Hell , we haven't even recognized them !

Not really , mate .

None the less the soviets deserved to bleed for what they did in 1971 to Pakistan. What goes around comes around that was just Zia getting even with them and yes he used paranoia and religious rhetoric to get it done.

Keep one thing in mind , despite all your anger and historical rivalries , you always have to keep your national interests in mind and they sure as hell , didn't lie in fighting the fight of the superpowers and burning our country in the meantime to bleed Soviets . All this menace and problems have their roots in the ill advised participation in Soviet war , nothing else . Hadn't we entered in the war , the Kremlin would still have collapsed because of economic reasons , the Communist regime would have still fallen apart and some other warlord would have captured Afghanistan , maybe even create problems but nothing we couldn't handle , as history always proved . I know well the reasons of getting it done , the quest of the leadership of the Muslim Ummah for Zia-ul-Haq wasn't really unknown to anybody , not back then and not certainly now .

Precisely , lets sign a defense co-operation deal with Tel Aviv , see how things and emotions in the GCC start to change . Enough of Ummah overdoses , time to get to rehab before we are put in 5150 hold forever !

@Secur

Hi there,

Happy Eid bro :partay:.

I don't agree that the Soviet didn't pose a real threat to Pakistan, and I'm not convinced enough to believe so. The situation was more complicated than what the Soviets said here and there, the fact that the execution of Zulifqar AB was one of main the reason that had led the Russians to invade Afghanistan is an undeniable cause followed by an effect - which is the invasion of this case -

Additionally, Pakistan nuclear program was in its intermediate stage, therefore, the Soviets couldn't have be deterred much to go there.

As such, the invasion came as a blow to both states concerned.

I might not agree with you but I deeply respect your take into this, and I will never regret KSA's involvement ever.

It’s not whether you need help or not, I’m not talking about military power. They just want to see others do the dirty work on their behalf while they will not spill any blood. This happened numerous times in recent history. Now they have no problem to drag Pakistan in the secterian war which it might have been dragged into already according to some members. What we keep seeing is them dividing Pakistanis ( any other country aswell ) into 2 sides which is a danger. So I agree with the ones here that call for a rise of nationalism in Pakistan.

.
For a second, someone sounded as if he were talking about Cuba

Obviously, Pakistan didn't need help in terms of fire/power, so yes, I see what you mean. You and I agreed once upon time that their physical participation was a symbolic one or for religious cause, both can work very well. Yes, many Saudis died in that war, but the question is, is the Saudi blood more valuable than the Pakistani? Well, I think, you already know the answer ;) ..

As I said before, my fellow.

I don't think that a Pakistani life should be wasted for the sake of KSA or other nations.
