I just don't understand why Pakistani Army is against their own country. They are simply axing the opportunities for their country to come out of their political and economic mess. Nawaz Sharif wanted to genuinely pursue ties with India and have a strong trade relation which would have helped in getting growth in Pakistan.

Just then the PA had to ruin the chances of ties.

We aren't mortal enemies of pakistan. We wouldn't raise a finger if they don't keeP pushing us. We don't move like that @Syed.Ali.Haider, @FaujHistorian. This has something to do with the martial -ism of pakistanis and the pakistani army.

Islamabad. After not getting a favorable response from United Nations over Kahsmir issue, Pakistan is now trying to seek UN’s intervention into another issue that has been bothering them for past few years i.e. Arnab Issue.

In its bid to internationalize the issue, Pakistan has sent a letter to UN secretary Ban Ki Moon, blaming ace news anchor Arnab Goswami for current escalations in vocal violence on his show Newshour which have only intensified of late.

“During the period of Oct 1-10, 2014, 48 verbal violations were reported inside Times Now studios, which resulted in ruptured ear drums and vocal cord paralysis of at least 18 Pakistani nationals,” letter signed by Sartaz Aziz, Nawaz Sahrif’s security adviser, read.

The Pakistan envoy maintains that utmost restraint was observed by Pakistanis on the show despite repeated provocations by Arnab, but reminded India that even it was equipped with people like Zaid Hamid and is thus fully capable of responding to provocations.

Not reading much into the snub already received over ‘Kashmir issue’ by UN, Pakistan is further confident that UN will not ignore this much graver issue than Kashmir.

“Kashmir issue we may still be able to solve through a dialogue but Arnab’s dialogues are becoming increasingly difficult to combat,” Sartaz Aziz told Faking News.

“I am sure UN too would have got first ear hand experience of it while Mr Arnab was in Manhattan for few days and was conducting his show from there,” he added, “Hence we are sure they would look into it and not ignore this plea of ours.”

According to sources, Pakistan also received unsolicited support of some Indians named Sanjay Jha, Tehseen Poonawala, N Srinivasan and few MLAs from UP, Karnataka and Goa.

Meanwhile Pakistani envoy is ready to approach Nirmal Baba to get a solution to both Kashmir and Arnab issue in case it gets snubbed by UN again.

That depends on what you consider 'intervention' to be......
Certainly in this case; it cannot mean sending a UN Expeditionary Force ala the US Cavalry.
But it can certainly mean acting as an intermediary...... unfortunately; that role has got "locked out" by the Shimla Accord, so all that the UN can do is make some "appropriate noises" (at the very most)......which it already has done.

No - requesting a UNGA or UNSC meeting on the issue would "imply" that the intent was for UN intervention.

To be fair, India has had its own failures and errors of judgment in dealing with Pakistan, and there is much that it can also do to improve the situation.
