You DO know that the stats used for the report published by the Daily Mail came from the government report right? It’s just the daily mail chose to highlight the 80% of offenders as “Asian” in Rochdale rather than the whole of the U.K.
According to the “Crown Prosecution Service” :Almost 85% of offenders found guilty of sexual activity with a minor in England and Wales
in 2011 were white. 3% were black and 4% were Asian and the rest wereeither listed as ‘other’ or unknown.
Furthermore according to a report in 2014:
Where offenders’ ethnicity was known, 81% of
people convicted of sexual offences in 2014 were white, 7% were black and 9% were Asian in 2014. These proportions were similar over the previous four years.
As a matter of course the CPS doesn’t record the ethnicity of the offenders. This is captured by the arresting police force or reporting agency.
The report from Quilliam is bias because it looks at Gangs and not Individual offenders. If you look at organised crime gangs which included the gangs in Rochdale, Bolton and Rotherham then yes the majority of those offenders were “Asian males” including British-Pakistani, Bengali, Indian, Afghan and Arab.
But overall according to CEOP, the majority offenders in group 1: major repeat offenders are white males. Asians only make up 8% of the population, Pakistanis are 1.86% of the U.K. population.
