Yes, Boeing will need permission from European powers as well if we imposed sanctions on a country since several Boeing's parts are also made by European powers. see belowLol Airbus needs permission from US to export to Iran.
Boeing, I understand.
But why Airbus.
Why would US need to give permission to a french company?
Says alot about who owns europe now. :d
Using your logic, Pakistan and bengladesh are owned by the U.S, China, France etc. Since all your stuffs comes from these countries lol
Anyway, it's all about comparative advantage/competitiveness genius. Doesn't means European power can't make every components on Airbus . Each country/power usually have its comparative advantage in some sectors relative to other.
We make parts for Boeing and Boeing also makes part for Europe's Airbus
So we can also impose sanctions against Boeing exporting it's aircrafts made of European components as well if we wanted to. However there is no reason for European powers to do that.
Yes, for example Iran will need at least half a century to build a Russian fighter jet like SU-27 WHICH WAS BUILT decades ago. I'm not even talking about new more advanced ones like SU-35, and western fighters like Typhoons, Rafale,F-18,etc.Bro, you high? Half a century ahead?
As for the west, you seem to greatly overestimate your developed status. Maybe you should go visit Iran and then maybe you'll see reality. Iran is indeed behind the west, but obviously you know little about Iran and you overestimate that gap. Don't rely too much on your BBC.
Note that I'm talking about countries who can design and build their own defence systems without any reverse engineering/taking designs based on other countries platforms.
I'm not saying Iran is not advanced. Yes compared to other Muslim countries you are indeed. But your leaders should be more pragmatic. You are nowhere near challenging the West. Follow your interests and cooperate when needed, while keeping rhetoric on the back burner. You can use it to gain influence and popularity in the middle East though. But you shouldn't take it too seriously.
