I don't see why passing this specific law is damaging any quality - to my understanding, it will help a better circulation and less centralization/dictatorship within the universities.

Besides, the twitter account is only serving hatred towards the government - it's a typical Gezi-minded-capulcu.

Thats not the point. The emergency law is not in place in order to push laws that you could not get passed otherwise.
This is only one example of how the government is abusing it.

But you must acknowledge that the coup solely took place due the elitarian infrastructure within Turkish educational system. The ones with sufficient connections (FETÖ) and capital (FETÖ) would stay in power and control power in their their very own direction - a direction that benefits the elite (FETÖ).

In the past, it was the strong Kemalism structure within the educational system (and most of all other relevant systems) that was structurally selecting and allocating the human resources that would only serve their very own agenda - and lately the very same game was played by the Gülenists.

I think making use of the extraordinary state to decrease future risks of these dangerous ideologies is serving a fruitful purpose.

First of all, my point is the AKP is abusing the emergency law. Lets just get this straight.

Second: Güllenists could not get in such positions until AKP supported them. There were only few positions in government etc they could reach. The government made them so big, allowed them to spread like cancer into our society. This is not directed at Güllencis but everyone who opposes the current government/their Juche. Tayyip is trying to manipulate the upcoming elites. Thats why he's sacking university personnell all over the country and replacing them with people with little academic background but pro government stanch.

In the first video, Cübbeli Ahmet, a leader of another Cemaat, talks about Atatürk and his reforms, and then claims he and his cemaat has not business with politic parties, even he says our door is not open for them to enter. However, after a few visits between Erdoğan and Cübbeli; in the second Cübbeli says in a meeting that to obey Erdoğan is a farz. In the last video, Cübbeli strongly critisizes who ever refuses any vessel between Allah and a person like a leader of a cult, cemaat like Gulen, at the second part Erdoğan says such people are in a big sin, even a şirk to Allah.

Part of the truth is also that AKP supported the Güllenist because of the threats coming from the Kemalist establishment. We should not forget this very important point, don't you think?

Guess who implemented this system in Turkey. You'll be surprised.

Referring to the bold text – actually in my previous post I was commenting on this, then later I deleted it, since it will open a whole new debate.

Truth is yes. What AKP did was working together with the "lesser evil". AKP didn’t have the power or connection to fight the Kemalist structural establishment within the YÖK, within the high rank military positions, within the police departments, within the judicial system and within media. AKP didn't have its own ground establishment within the military, nor within the police or any other of the above mentioned positions. So naturally AKP chose to work with Gülen movement (FETÖ) -> and used FETÖ's power with the "Balyoz" case.

And I can expose another important thing of what AKP/Erdogan is currently doing. But I doubt that people in here is ready to understand that detail - because whatever is being done by the government is being looked upon as if it's from the Satan itself. And that, is actually one of the most important problems of the opposition and its supporters. We need to be better in working together.

I gave a proper answer to this in my previous post. It is not necessarily an abuse.

Amnesty and the EU crying about the shut down of terrorist rag Cumhuriyet.

'According to the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office’s probe, Cumhuriyet is accused of “committing crimes on behalf of FETÖ and the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party[PKK] without being a member,” aiming to “conceal the truth with manipulation and publish stories that aimed to make Turkey ungovernable.” ' link

The Kemalist establishment was once again right about being suspicious. Whenever we had a conservative government, sooner or later they all started power grabbing.

10 years from now we wont be talking about removing Güllencis influence from Turkey but all those Tayyipcis that have been placed everywhere.

AKP working with the lesser evils in this context means working with a group that is now classified as a terrorist organization. Kemalists and Military have been calling him that for years if not decades.

So AKP prefered working with criminals instead of rightous people. Instead of showing that they're sincere, they prefered doing something criminals and arrested the highest ranks of the military. Which is pretty shady if you ask me.

Whats even shadier is replacing them with people from a cult.

For the second part I want to quote Dave Chapelle here, because it gets my point across very well (its funny too):

Im refering to Satan part of yours.

The Kemalist infrastructure within the Turkish educational system and all other important positions posed far greater trouble for AKP than Gülens organization. Every suggestion that came out of AKP was later being declined from various positions in Turkey. AKP only had a small fair of power in its early stages, and they knew with Gülen they shared more common values compared to Kemalists - especially within the educational infrastructure.

Remember, back then Gülen movement wasn't linked with any sort of terrorism. Yes, they were a cult - but they gave more freedom to AKP compared with the Kemalist structure.

That's actually a valid post for once. Congrats

Look where it has gotten us: The worst security situation in the history of the republic. First in jailing journalists. Hardly any free media left. No judges left that have not been replaced at least once or twice. Not enough pilots for the airforce. I could go on.

At one point you just have to look in the mirror and think shiiiiit.

Now that I am a person who is born and raised - and lives in Europe, I can tell you that media in my country has always only served government interest. There are no media against the established government.
It's true that today in Turkey we have less media constantly demonizing the government compared to 2 years ago. I hope this number will further decrease, since demonizing a government deliberately should be totally illegal on public TV stations. Criticism is always welcome.

I always appreciated constructive criticism. In some media channels like Habertürk and CNN (Ahmet Hakan) you do have government critical perspectives being raised. And I appreciate that.

About the pilots, it's better to have less treason and less pilots than more treason and more pilots. It is well documented that alot of F-16 firepower were wasted on mountains and deserts where we thought they were roasting terrorist rats.

Turkey in its whole is going through hardships due to our properly screw€d neighbors and FETÖ's deliberately demonization of the government in the domestic scale (up until some months ago) as well as in the international media. And when there were so much treason going on, of course the state must take extraordinary decisions in these extraordinary conditions. The state must protect its sovereignity, and that cannot be done when you subsequently have traitor news whose only serving one purpose -> bringing down Erdogan.

I can promise you if any other European country (or civilized country) were going through similar events likeTurkey, they would be much harsher.
