Wiki indicates that the TF-2000 will have kinetic energy weapons.

Does anybody know anything official about this?

Wether TF-2000 will have kinetic energy weapons or not is not sure yet, however serious research is made in this area
BEDIR SAVUNMA-Projeler

Research projects of the company

- Laser Pointer for the police department (project is finished and delivered)
- Short range guided missile (project finished and ready for production)
- Thermobaric weapon (in design phase)
- ROBOTIC DIRECT FIRE - (project continuing)
- ELECTRO THERMAL CHEMICAL GUN - (in design phase)
- ELECTRO MAGNETIC GUN - (continuing)
- MICRO AIR VEHICLE - (continuing)
- ORGANIC AIR VEHICLE - (in design phase)
- UNMANNED COMBAT AIR VEHICLE - (in design phase)

The U.S recently tested a rail gun that has an approx 100km range however the test setup alone suggests that very few nations in the would have or be able to afford such weapons in the foreseeable future.

The rail gun also does not have the "bada**" image most people would expect given the fact that these were considered science fiction only a decade ago.

Each canon or machine gun is kinetic energy weapon.
Not my article nor my claim. Given the development of energy and sonic weapons designed for non lethal passification and disruption of electronics in the past decade it is also a decent question to ask.

Railgun is not an outer space technology nor state of the art technology. It's a simple magnetic catapult that many countries in the world can make. However it is true that the US has large research budgets and funds to become the first to make these kind of applications, money talks.

That's true in that the science is there to produce this kind of weapon however given their frequent appearance in science fiction these weapons were by default considered science fiction only a few years ago.

Now making non lethal sonic weapons for passification and energy weapons for disruption such as the Active Denial System or the Zeus Laser Weapon are much more complex, so the question on is there anything official about the TF-2000 planned kinnetic energy weapon is not such a dumb question to ask and to dismiss it is simply wrong.

Given that wiki is often full bull I am sceptical but I do not dismiss it entirely given the existance of these class of weapons.

Undersecretariat for Defense Industries (SSM) requested info on directed energy weapons along with a number of other areas from foreign companies. These include-directed infrared countermeasures, electric generation and distribution systems, heating-ventilating-air conditioning, integrated platform management systems, laser directed/kinetic energy weapons, main propulsion systems and the naval gun system.

This does not necessarily mean TF-2000 will have these but there is a possibility since the program will span into 2020 and beyond for platforms. This is a very long term project.

I think at the moment Pakistan is interested more in Chinese goods. The problem is that Turkey will never hamper our moves to buy equipment from them, but keeping the goods from single source makes sense in terms of future cycle costs.

But nonetheless Pakistan has Turkey and China to explore new products, and maybe even Brazil, given the current MAR 1 acquisition.

Pakistan is selecting Chinese products simply because the Chinese are further in technology, Turkey is trying to close the gap with hundreds of research programs continuing and the gap will be closed in many areas but not all. In aero and space it is almost impossible to keep up with China.

its all a race, china is attempting to close the gap with the US, smaller countries simply cannot try to complete in everything, it will result in them being good at nothing, choose some areas your good at and race for world class status

These are basic Model but it has got nice performance. It's produced by the military.
