Turkish court rule supporting returning Hagia Sophia museum again Mosques .

A Turkish court has ruled in favor of converting the historic Isophia into a mosque. The verdict in the long-running case declared the law regarding the conversion of Isophia into a museum illegal. There was no legal impediment to converting Iasophia into a mosque. If the written verdict is published, the prayers (as a mosque) in Isophia may start from next Friday. This verdict is going to fulfill the long standing demand of the Islam-loving people of Turkey. There was a lot of pressure from Western countries, including Russia, not to turn Isophia into a mosque. This verdict ignores this pressure. This will put an end to 80-90 years of demands, politics and international diplomacy.
It should be noted that Isophia is considered by Islam-loving people to be the most important symbol of Istanbul's conquest. And this is what the one-party secular government turned into a museum. About 75 years have passed since then. With this verdict, Istanbul will get its symbol back.
(PS: The verdict has not yet been published in writing. Officially, Ankara correspondent of Sabah newspaper has claimed this in the news received from the court sources.) :turkey::turkey:

There are multiple mosques in Greece. What's going to stop them from converting them to churches?

It's a shame that us Turks do more for Islam than Arabs do. Yet the whole religion is based off Arab culture and requires an understanding of the Arab language. And now Arabs are, just like back in medieval times, aligned with Greeks.

I don't agree with making it a church but you're certainly right about cheap point scoring for the gov. They do anything for votes, even if it jeopardizes foreign relations and our economy.
i am just saying as i find it justice sir . for me justice is restoring it to church as it was made by the people from day one . if meusem is not suitable for turkish gov then church is real owner of building . muslim leaders these days playing os much dirty for gain power .

cheap point scoring of turkish gov . it was made as church if he want to restore then restore is as church .
Never saw you before in TURKEY section, now you come running after this decision?

A lot of our mosques in greece have either been turned into bars, discos, museums and other stuff.

Some have also been left to rot.

This hagia sophia thing wont change anything to be honest. Spoils of war the structure belongs to us.

Christfags should not stop crying.

My ancestors the conquered city and turned the structure into a mosque.

Get fcked you have no say here.

The remaining mosques will likely suffer the same fate.

If we can keep it open to tourists and practicing Muslim's then that's ideal. But if this kills off the Touristic aspect of it then it'll be bad. The curtain idea is good.

If there are Turkic peoples who are christian like the Gaguz that would be offended I would feel bad as a Muslim Turk to be honest just for them.

But seriously I dont care what Greeks, Armenians, Americans, Assyrians, Christian Arabs and Europeans think. These anti Turk and anti Turkic pieces of shit only deserve the middle finger.

this example can be used by other fascists too to convert mosques to something else in future . erdogan is starting a new chapter here for small political gain . attacks on mosques in west will increase too .

It was a mosque for a long period so what? Deal with it
its was illegal occupied mosque for long time too . nothing can make it legal to capture church and make is mosque .

Before church it was for pagans. So byzantines also did something illegal?

Im happy to see that a lot of the Turkish members are sane and cold minded. I don't understand why is Erdogan doing this, knowing he will only make most of the European countries mad, and isolate Turkey even more...
I guess this will only lead to future divides between Turks themself... Im sure that this decision will be reversed once Erdogan is overthrown, but still, looks like Erdogan and Putin are in a competition who will do the dumbest thing and who will cause more harm to his own country.

Assalamu Aleikum

This is a great news, not only to our Turkish brothers and sisters, but to the whole world.
For decades, the walls inside Hagia Sophia have not heard the calls to prayer, except the sheer disregard to its cultural and spiritual significance, by bunch of vultures of selfie snapping tourists with flip flops.

Now, lets sit back and enjoy the double standards and the tears of some of these western countries, who themselves have destroyed/converted many mosques from the Balkans to the Iberian, some don't even allow muslims to build a mosque in certain cities (Athen).
