Same for Turkish Navy, they want to use Atmaca and Gezgin (In future)

Anyway, regardless it is Turkey's decision but my opinion. It is still a good development to have all these missiles.

Atmaca is in the last generation, it was stupid for Turkey to develop it when pretty much all CIWS and air defense system know its signature(very similar to Exocet and Harpoon). SOM would have been stealthier, and harder to detect and most likely be able to penetrate air defenses of Greek ships.


They got them for free, regardless of them not having AMRAAMs.

Incorrect, F-15SA is better or on par with Israeli F-15s.

Turkey has been working for 40+ years on its defense industry and is in NATO so had the benefit of TOT up until recently. KSA, UAE, and Egypt are working on their defense industries slowly, but should become much bigger in the future.

Nato give almost nothing, ToT was based on making parts and not critical parts what makes you independent, if you start your own R&D program you will make something to. But based on Arab Denel weapon case you still didn't learned and won't learn it. So it is for you people ompossible to achieve something in the Defence industry.

And coming back to that fighters, only thing you have is a AESA radar.

So we think locate a siper into this ship ? Big Probaply I think. Gökdeniz look a optional . max 16 min 8 cell vls clearly fit front of the ship behalf of sea zenith. İf we gain Sipers this ships will be turn Tf-200-S or mini with 32 essm 16 siper until tf-2000

It is not about range but working frequency of radars that is optimized for different mission profile. S band wavelength and frequency profile (Smart-S Mk2) is more convenient to detect the target from longer ranges so S band radars become a good solution for early warning mid to long range radars. X band (MAR-D) wavelength and frequency profile is known with providing sharply precision target data and sensitivity at short to medium ranges so X band radars are mostly used on fire control and surveillance radars. Combination of these two band on a naval combatant increase situation awareness combined with precisious target handling at different air layers so Barbaros will host S and X band T/R modules on same hull to impove the survivability against targets coming close to platform from different air layers.

It doesn't change much if you put longer range radar. If you are going to use it on anti ballistic missile then you have something.
