At last Chinese didn't only develop the HQ-9 for PLA ... soon we will see new missile to replace HQ-9 like on 052D DDGs.

BTW: at the ToT of J-600T Yildirim Turkey got basic tech from China but today we are developing a 900km version of it with different warhead configurations, the same will happen to HQ-9, dont think we will be happy with basic version.

Turkey's Roketsan has been assigned with the task of improving the range, performance and design of the J-600T, and is conducting studies on alternatives such as a sealed pod launcher box design, improved propellant, improved GCU and different types of warhead configurations.

Roketsan is reportedly working on an improved version of J-600T, details of which are highly speculative for the moment. Given that the system was first revealed to the public more than 7 years of its introduction to service, it can be expected that information about the improved version, if there is any, is going to remain secret for some time.

I know you are joking, but the FD-2000 isn't HQ-9, not exactly, it's the export version, it's different, it is obviously that way on purpose.

ANKARA, Feb 19 (Reuters) - Turkey will go ahead with plans to order a $3.4-billion missile defence system from China, Defence Minister Ismet Yilmaz said, despite U.S. and NATO concerns over security and compatibility of weaponry.

Yilmaz said in a written response to a parliamentary question published on Thursday that Ankara will use the long-range system without integrating it with NATO's system.

Turkey originally awarded the tender to China Precision Machinery Import and Export Corp in 2013, prompting U.S. and NATO officials to say the deal could raise questions over security.

Turkey later said it was in talks with France on the issue, but Yilmaz said no new bids had been received.

"The project will be financed with foreign financing. Work on assessing the bids has been completed and no new official bid was received," the minister said.

"The system in question will be integrated with the national system for Turkey's defence and will be used without integrating with NATO," he added.

Eurosam, which is owned by Franco-Italian missile maker MBDA and France's Thales, came second in the tender.

You are correct. It isn't easy to establish customers trust. USA and Russia started most wars these years and their weapons sold best. Even the France's weapons sold better after attacking Libya. What's a damn world! Turkish guy, as soon as possible try to find back the strong Ottoman empire era.

Turkey is a hostile shit country to China, openly harboring Xinjiang Uighur terrorists and supporting independence. Why we are doing business and provide TOT with them, even though it's an old downgraded export tech.

Because we want to gain a entry to NATO system and peek it's data link etc. I strongly suspect in the future Turkey will integrate it with NATO under Chinese help despite what it said, must be the case.

Yes, I heard some extremely nationalism groups and right-wing party in Turkey back up some Uighur terrorists, but I don't think they have actual ability to do effective actions. Be relax, my buddy. As long as we insist on treating peaceful Uighur equally and friendly, beat those terrorists, the Turkish right-swing groups can't do anything. I believe China and Turkey have chance to improve a better relationship. Two countries had similar modern history, facing up the west attack, face up the north bear in 19th, 20th century. I may be too optimistic or you are too pessimistic, I am not sure. In China I ever met with a lot of guys from USA, Japan, Europe, Korea and Vietnam, honestly speaking, I never met with a Turkish guy in person here, I don't know what's their real thoughts.

China should offer an better System instead of getting for their own Forces the S-400 and the reality that Turkey moving on big steps to develop his own system looks the period of time not so far.
