I think Marmara Accident forced Turkey to develop its own defence..

It was mainly due to cyprus invasion.

US didn't allow us to use its products even though we bought them, so they had to be ours and free to use..

And later on, just after the invasion, US and half of the planet sanctioned us, and there, ASELSAN, today's one of the best tech firms of the world, has been founded!

Since then we have been working so hard to create our own domestic military industry.

When China sell the monkey version of HQ-9 SAMs to any foreign nation, it means Chinese developed new updated HQ-9B or HQ-26 SAMs and soon new toys will equiped by PLA Army.

Who tell u China selling the latest techs to Turkey ? ... just pay for a outdated tech from China anti-aircraft missile family.

Chinese systems are very inferior to Western systems and Russian systems. I bet in case of a war with China, the west can have a look at HQ-9 and use the information for their cyber attack on China.

PLA Army have the better one, the old just for sell ... and don't forget if a NATO nation like Turkey using China HQ-9 and integrate it into current NATO combat system, they also need to provide NATO data links, combat & command API to Chinese engineers.

Turkey didn't just buy HQ-9 missiles, they pay for a whole national defense system ... it means HQ-9's data transmission with their NATO combat & command system.

I'm no missile expert, but I'm sure the new Chinese missile system's main algorithm will remain the same, thus it can be compromise. Do not underestimate the American military experts.

Indeed its already been stated in the first post that it won't be integrated.

You are right.

The C&C system will also be built by Chinese along with all other systems related to the project.

Nothing comes to my mind that Chinese can steal in the meantime.. And I'd highly doubt if China didn't have any spies in our country still.. Even our 'allies' have countless spies in our country...
