You do know the meaning of a unity government. Right? Nobody will get exactly what they want but all parties will play a role in the new system, including Assad. In other words, all parties decide to come together and give concessions to each other instead of fighting each other.Iran would never agree to a government Syria that doesn't include Assad and other important officials from his clan. There is no need for unity govt in Syria. If you say so you're suggesting country is divided between the majority and the small Assad clan. Assad clan cannot dominate majority of government and should represent a minority in it.
However, if it were up to me now, personally I think the unity government should no longer be an option as Assad has for the most part won the war.
