It is not a fashion hair style in China, but manchu rulers forced chinese do this, if we do not, we will be killed in Qing Dynasty. What is the reason for this type of fashion/hair? It seems to be unique for China or at least Mongoloid people. I think that I recall seeing a similar type of hair among Native Americans but I might be wrong here.
Good to see that India is still persistent about its traditional culture.
LOL you telling me your ancestor was some Wu emperor?
Ng is cantonese spelling and we pronounce it as ng or mmm[/quotelear
take care before korean argues he invented it
This is what I really like about India. You can be poor but proud. The Middle East and the Subcontinent still keep much of their original clothing.

I think India can retain its unique culture. Even several hundreds of years of British colonial rule cannot abolish native culture, nobody can! But India should also feel lucky that Britain is not barbarians like Manchu that would force you to change hairstyle and clothing. It may join Japan, China in the sense cultural clothing disappears as they get more wealthier.
Arabs are the most proud. Go to any Gulf airport, they have all the new phones, etc, but still wear their own attire.

yes, we have, in face, in ancient time, japan learnt all from China, like building, politic system, chinese characters, and costume. Kimono is origined from Chinese Hanfu, from Wu region, now this region is Suzhou, in Jiangsu Province, so Kimono is also called Wufu, means from Wu region. That's so awesome, man. Yes, indeed, China has a very long history and many styles or regalia.
Is there anything in Chinese clothing that is similar to Japanese Kimono ?
