Apparently, Sikhs can wear their Turbans, and Hasidic Jews can wear their religious outfits on their own personal conviction, but a Muslim girl wearing a veil is a fanatic "Stone Age religion follower". Nevertheless, she's in school and has to follow the rules. A veil is a bad choice there.

actually wearing a Sikh turban is not allowed in many of the competitive sports. And In New Zealand a Sikh man was turned away for wearing the turban and it was in contravention to their rules.

I do believe the majority of the onus for fitting in with the society actually falls in with the migrant. He chose to be in a western country for a job.
That migrant has the opportunity to start a new life.
Yes but unfortunately those who came in the early 60s to 80s experienced hardcore form of racism that it haunted them soo bad to their 3rd generation....

Also a caution of being overly assertive in wanting to stick your religion, it makes the local population more susceptible to campaigns of the European right who says letting in Muslims will compromise European values. Ditto for the American right.
The right and left will always find a reasoning to fight or push their agendas...doesnt mean one should forget themselves, their religion and origin for the sake of "hoping" the right and left wont have a topic to fight about?

There are rights guaranteed to migrants. But there are also duties. And yes, at times it will compromise your values if you are an orthodox person. You migrated to that country.
Actually no...The reason why people flood to Western places is the freedom which allows you to practice your faith...no matter how much in denial one would be they do see it...its just those who came years back (60s to 80s) are still haunted by the racism they faced so much they preached it to their generation and being the old wise man in the community to the community too...made them slightly incapable of mixing....

But all is not broken coz of that ....the continuing racism against such mentality...someone has to call it a halt and snap these people out and also a the same time snap the other side to stop biting back...it becomes a positive feedback loop!

Point? I'm talking about the claims that this is uncivilized.

Now a lady maulana will speak from what Brits will do.. I said Muslims if they have problems living in Non Muslims countries they should get out of their. Be those immigrants or citizens they can apply for citizenship of Pakistan where they can persue their Islam without caring about any laws.
Now an Indian in India is going to legislate this? Seriously if you have not an iota about the laws I suggest you just dont contribute!

Medieval is not the way they dress but the way they cry for every little things and at the end of the day kill Brit soldiers on streets if one of their sorry demands is not met. This is medieval mindset, get out of it so that your future generations come out to be civilized.
1stly, I reported you for derailing as this thread is about the clothes and you just shoved it away...

2ndly, individual incidents cant represent the whole community of thousands and tens of thousands! And that man who did so explained he saw this, children in his land saw it...maybe it is time for Western countries to think what they do in other people's land.....

lastly, by what he said we can also infer that he is prob suffering from psychological stress of seeing what he illustrated to a people who have never seen what he has seen from childhood and blames the people to have inflicted it on his childhood and that of the children of his land.....

most schools in UK are accommodative of religious diversity(unlike france where you cant have any such religious symbol) however considering the UK society, full face veil is a bit too extreme.
Similarly a naturist girl might want to come to school naked but I doubt the school will accommodate the request, because thats another extreme.

1) I believe you should google Coptic Christians coz those Christians have not entered Middle east by using visa but are NATIONALS AND CITIZENS of middle eastern countries by birth and through thousands of years of descend!

2) When people apply for visa I am sure they have read the terms and conditions (laws of individual country which allows you freedom of your religion with restrictions- which varies based on the country you want to talk about as Middle East is not 1 country made of many countries...) and when they agree to the ones present than whatelse is there to say? While the terms and conditions (British law) is freedom to practice your faith.....

When people apply for visa I am sure they have read the terms and conditions (laws of individual country which allows you freedom of your religion with restrictions- which varies based on the country you want to talk about as Middle East is not 1 country made of many countries...) ...that falls on them when they want to apply for the visa and agree to follow the law...

Exactly, secularism and liberal values are to be imposed in lands where Muslims are in minority, but in lands where Muslims are in majority "Sharia Rules". Clever NO?

. .
Keep reporting me and keep coming back daily declaring who is Muslim who is not and also dictating the very country's law that hosts you.
1stly, I am not declaring anyone anything

2ndly for saying this which could also be said in a civilized manner would have prevented me from reporting:

Listen lady maulana, stop proving you are dumband

as for country's law which hosts me...I am not dictating it but showing what the law states ....

But here every day there will be defense coming up for the actions of Muslims. Now I see from where this Isis mentality come from.

1stly, how is debating considered wrong? Isnt that what this forum is for?

Wow just for calling a spade a spade you jump to ISIS....simply wow!

.
Point? I'm talking about the claims that this is uncivilized.

there is a point. There are certain religious practices which puts you at odds with certain aspects of modern life. It is upto that Individual to make that choice.

Its not in the UK citizenship rule and UK doesnt ban veil... at least not in as a rule/ law...hence again you are wrong to take that analogy

and other side giving restriction in middle east ,no citzenship and blaming the other country rule...LOL....
sorry I didnt get this....

But you used that "My house my rules" logic to kill the discussion. If tomorrow UK decides that Only Christians will be allowed to become British citizen will you accept it? If no then what are your views on Maldivian citizenship law which allows only Muslims to become Maldives' citizens?
