US merely takes advantage of being a multi racial country with one of the largest gene pools in the world. Chinese just need to naturalize some foreign talents to remove themselves from the unfavourable situation for a fairer competition. US dominance in Olympic games has lasted for decades without a noteworthy reversal in this trend. It seems unlikely their overall medal lead is due for the final episode anytime soon. However any form of dominance is always cyclical and there have been signs of a major shift away in Olympics. Chinese should start to recruit talents from East African tribes Carribean islanders for track and field, Siberia for boxing wrestling and South America for ball games etc. As long as Chinese can bring in a stable three more gold medals in track and field, three more in swimming and three more in other sports. US can be easily knocked off its current spot on a permanent basis. It is realistically achievable Chinese are well capable of doing that.
It is understandable that Chinese is a proud race deep down after being the core of the tributary system running in Asia for several thousand years. They believe in their home grown athletes can be the champion in every single sport but when the local talent is scarce naturalizing can be interpreted as a easy quick fix.
It is not a shame migration patterns see European American numerous countries attract foreign athletes in Olympic disciplines all the time. Glad Chinese have already noticed that we see the likes of Nina Schultz in their team.
actually the easiest way is to increase number of medals and athlete quotas in sports China is good at. Why do you think that swimming has 30+ medals even though there's useless events like butterfly stroke?
just add powerlifting, 5 m diving, 25 m pistol, 50 m rifle, 300 m rifle, sanda, etc.
