From what I heard they train you one day during the week for which you are expected to show up. Then they also have training over the weekend but no big deal if you cannot make it. But I think you are expected to complete your basic training before they can employ you in a meaningful way. So I think they expect you to complete your required training over the summer. By the end of your first two years you should have completed the required basic stuff like training phase one, phase two etc.

It really is a part time job. Way more valuable than many people realize. But there is an interview process one has to go through, pass the physical and aptitude tests etc.

In Pakistan u cant become mufti until you pass certain highlevel of exams. Every imam is not mufti and every mufti cant represent every firqa. I said team of mufti in brackets.

Some of the training phases require you to spend a few months, three or four, every summer at a Canadian Forces base. The reserves is a part time thing so they know people have full time jobs, school etc. But I heard you could work full time as a reservists without being part of the regular forces.

In the 70's and 80's even up to mid 90's there used to be a lot of riots in Britain. The police has dealt with sever riots and devised solutions for such violent outlashes. Problem is in Pakistan the Riot training is extremely basic and there is no dedicated anti-riot school like the way Pakistan has developed counter terrorism school.

This is a weak point in Pakistan unfortunately the police is always found to be incapacitated when it needs to step up and deliver on their promise of 'protect and serve'.

As I mentioned There needs to be something like Pakistan reserves which can be activated to deal with such situation in the country.

More importantly the only utensil you see the police with is either a Type 56 or a danda! These are never going to deal with the rioters. These are many applicable tools and techniques that should be invested in to deal with rioters. Using more water cannons maybe and other non lethal options can incapacitate the rioters and neutralise them without causing them much harm.

This is the weak point in the first line of defense, the police. strengthening the police to work and providing them with the right tools for the situation is the only way forward.

This really annoys me. You know how people talk of education or prosperity will resolve the problem of extremism - I am not entirely sure there is a direct correlation. I have seen in UK guys from tribal areas who are here on asylum and have no education, being more open minded then British born Pakistani graduate's born here. And I often ask that question. If your so against secularism why do you choose to live in it. The answer Pakistan or other Muslim countries are not real Islamic republics and are ran by Libtards.
