Tiger census: 295 tigers added, population estimated at 1706

New Delhi: According to the second all-India tiger population estimation study, carried out in the designated 39 tiger reserves across the country, there has been an increase of 295 tigers in India. The population is estimated at 1706, up from 1411 tigers in 2008.

Sources have told NDTV that the numbers in South India are better than other parts of the country.

The Chinese government should be ashamed of seeing this.

The tiger species was originated in China in about 2 million years ago, also China was once tiger's biggest homeland, with 5 species in total such as South China Tiger, Siberian Tiger, Caspian Tiger, Indochinese Tiger, and Bengal Tiger.

Now there is almost nothing left in China.

Just Google about the death of protected animals in the Delhi Zoo, u will be surprised to know that its daily income goes deposited into jairam ramesh's office and it falls under his direct jurisdiction.
