Its the equivalent of putting the statue of Ravan outside a Ram temple. Its an deliberate insult to Hindu faith and beliefs.

Ravana had many sins on his hand starting from going after Parvathi to abduction of Sita.

On the other hand, Mahabhali chakravarti was a perfect role model. He even gave the boons to Vamana in spite of his guru Shukracharya warning him about Vamana being Vishnu.

Hinduism does not have the concept of "evil", only "evil acts".

Mahabali was IGNORANT. Not "evil". "evil" is a Christian concept.

HE was the grand son of Prahalad, one of the most famous Vishnu bhakts. The bhakt for whom Vishnu took the Narasimha avatar.

But he was from the Asura clan, ignorant in the ways of dharma. He was attempt to capture and own something that did not belong to him. This might be acceptable in islam, not in Hinduism.

There is no dispute about Ravana being a Brahmin. He was the Greatest devotee of Shiva too.

MahaBali was a Vishnu Bhakt.

Ravan was a Great Shiva Bhakt.

MahaBali was a great Emperor who was LOVED by his people.

Ravan was a Great Emperor who was Loved by his people.

They are more similar that you care to admit.

Mahabali was attempting to disrupt Dharma and capture Dev loka and become the Indra. That was not his place to be. Vishnu because of his love for Mahabali did not allow him to commit more sins, he cut him off before he could destroy himself completely.
