Things I miss about Pakistan in the US

All that ranting was totally unnecessary since the thread is about things that people miss about Pakistan while in USA. Please read the OP again.

Where did all the others countries come from? :D
OP was about things people ( a group of ladies) miss...But your condescending tone was pointing out things which no one misses as a bashing exercise (or a comparing one like Indians here on PDF do for lack of activities in life)...

Well, if you get the Schengen, it is the best way to quickly enjoy and add another 10 countries to your list
I have it...but holidays ka maslah hai...Every holiday I get my parents want me to visit them or my sis in UK literally orders me to go over :( - well I do feel homesick so it isnt entirely their fault...Thinking of all this I need to plan where to fly for the Christmas break...I am wishing for Turkey lets see....

Conferences are my way to run away :D

What are you doing in Pakistan if your family is in UK? Why not study there? What do you study/work on?

Haii.....spent all my life abroad missed weddings and baby bloom...I swear I go to Pakistan and I am picking babies and asking yeh kiska hai...

So TRUE LOL "Yeh kiska hai"

I remember when I used to go annually (dad had a good package whole family got free tickets every year) we used to make it a joke about the babies ...we would be like yeh iss saal ka model hai (to cousins who had babies almost every yr)

I have literally missed alot...From marriages, babies to deaths ....very painful but life goes on

I can relate to what you have mentioned can you believe my sis daughter have a little cutie daughter too ... so at this age I am what NANA I guess :undecided:

Well, if you get the Schengen, it is the best way to quickly enjoy and add another 10 countries to your list. I made that mistake, only visited 4 or so while in UK. Turkey is awesome, especially the resorts around the Mediterranean. I visited Istanbul only when i went first time in winters...and while it was chilly, that beautiful city had it's own charm.
I thought Schengen visa is just for travelling European countries excluding USA/Canada

Howelse to tell? I have suggested as a joke to stamp their heads with their parents head for easy identification...

Actually the baby bloom is mostly at my khala's place she is married into this giant family and everyone lives in 1 area so you literally have to ask whose baby is which...I remember 1 of the years they had 3 births agay peechay I had half the mind to swap the babies to see if the mummies recognize their babies...Weird things you plan when you are bored :undecided:

I am a little scared to go to Turkey alone....Dont know why...I also wanna go to Morocco but the visa process on their page was confusing enough and I didnt wanna burn in the Summer...that is 1 I will leave for winter...I still need to visit Africa and S.America to add to my adventures ....Wanna see that Llama :p:

Sorry let me clarify this...My dad retired last yr and moved back to Pakistan with my mom and 1 of my sis...my eldest is working in UK...
It is perfectly fine to visit Turkey alone. You'd be surprised how friendly they are once they find out you are a Pakistani. When i went for the first time (just Istanbul), i had a friend with me from University. Second time i went alone. It's fun either way.

And no i am not a UK Passport holder :P Just a Green, thought provoking Pakistani passport.

. .
Yes it is only valid for Schengen area, which pretty much covers all of Europe. 26 nations i think.
30 nations and few other nations allows the holder of schengen visa to obtain their visa on arrival.

Have you been to Russia? I am trying to figure if Green Passports (WITH SCHENGE/ UK VISA) get visa on arrival...Would love to visit St. Petersburg...

You know about my plans for visiting 1-3 European countries next week. We were still not able to get the ticket so one of my cousin cancelled his holidays from work in hope to book the tickets first before making a new plan.

I was lucky enough to find tickets for Istanbul, Turkey today and everything was supposed to go very nicely but that cousin told me he spoke with the manager and he is not allowing to reschedule his holidays. Now he wants to travel after Ramadan... but lets see... He is still trying to pursue his managers to give him day off between 15th of july to 18th of july so that we could visit Turkey.

There is a ticket for £130 + very cheap accommodation so it suits him a lot

Eid par Turkey jao gay?
oops I meant to say 15th of June to 18th of june.

First roza is likely to be on 18th of june... i think

and remember we were talking about Russia... so on UK government website it says

Russia’s port cities where travellers won’t need a visa for up to 3 days are:

  • St Petersburg
  • Kaliningrad
  • Vladivostok
  • Sochi
  • Vyborg
  • Korsakov (Sakhalin Island)
  • Novorossiysk
Russia travel advice - GOV.UK

So make a plan for St Petersburg, obtain visa and lets meet near the Winter Palace, don't get late yeah...
