Only those lands directly ruled by British India were partitioned by the British on the lines of religion. Princely states had to choose on their own.

We wanted to respect the will, hence J&K was handed over to Sheikh Abdullah. And we wanted to do plebiscite, but Pak never vacated J&K as per UN resolution to allow for plebiscite.

Rather then listen to the brilliance and wisdom of Jinnah, they tried to convince massive amounts of Indian Muslims to remain in a united India

What's happening today is EXACTLY due to the mistakes of Indian leaders

India may have had to give up a little more land but south Asia would be at peace and be able to move forward, instead because of India's actions we have had decades of conflict in South Asia
