They are in denial mode at this moment Trying to fool others despite facts that Direct Current (MVDC) EMALS are more sophiscated and reliable than Alternating Current (MVAC) onboard their EMALS.
You so silly, Ford Class EMALS is powered by a MVDC generator. The MVDC generator is powered by a flywheel, the flywheel receives AC power from the reactor.
The flywheel supports super fast energy regeneration, faster than super capacitors and more reliably than chemical batteries.
The Ford Class propulsion is stream turbine because nuclear powered steam turbine is extremely reliable and immune to EMP unlike a ship powered by electric motors.
In a naval battle the last thing you want to lose is propulsion. Besides the USN CV-1 the first aircraft carrier USS Langley was electric and the Zumwalt is a fully electric MVDC destroyer. There is nothing earth shattering OMG so advanced about an MVDC naval vessel.
