Just want to state that Iran shot down a $200 million American UAV the size of a Boeing 737 with an indigenous SAM system, and all the United States did was tweet about it.

War cost billions , not $200 millions.
In the first Golf war US used something like 2000 attack planes. Think how much it would cost just to fly all those planes + supply to the region.
Trump is a business man. Despite all that can be said about him, he made it clear ( and so far has been true to his words ) that he is going to reduce US army deployment and costs and put - " America first "
Trump does not want to attack Iran. Why should he ?
The sanctions are working fine for him. They seem effective enough , otherwise the Mullahs would not take the risks they have taken this past week.
The mullahs may have gotten a moral boost from dropping this drone , but their basic situation has not changed.
The sanctions are still on , like a noose around their necks ,and the ball is still in their court. They will still have to make another move if they want to see them gone. While the Americans can just wait it out.
America does not have to prove it is strong , everyone knows it is. That is the advantage of being a super power.
