Mig 21 was developed several decades ago.Mig 21 has seen wars more than dozens times and performed well.

Now does that make Mig 21 superior to F-35 JSF ?

By that virtue, the likes of Spitfires, Hurricanes and Messerchsmits saw even more combat, at least make some sense when comparing the era....and do enlighten us when did the MiG-21s performed well except some defensive sorties in Vietnam.

JF-17 is functional with what???????????????

it is fully functional with PAF- dont you have common human senses to see observe or anything?-

It doesn't even have a double seated trainer and half the sub systems that make a 4th gen fighter, a 4th gen fighter.

Tejas has started not ended not 90s.We are inducting newer technology as they evolve for e.g. Elta Aesa Radar.

and those people can not talk of newer technology in aircraft whose frame is version of Mig21 or chinese called it J7.

@Windjammer : No matter how you twist it, analogy of JF17 could be given as home delivered Hotel cooked food as being presented as "Co-Developed"/ "Made to order" product. But in any case you do not have the recipe neither the skill to cook the same food at home. But you guys have audacity to point finger at Indian effort as not "Indigenous", why bcoz the ingredients of the end products where procured from out side !! Now isn't it hypocrisy and bigotry.

Also I cannot make head or tails of this argument , that as we have inducted ours earlier (with truckloads of stuff not operational at the time of induction) than yours (Which has better tech in every single category), ours trumps yours !!! Not even considering that you guys just eat the fruits of China's research and development.

Whenever Pakistanis compare jf17 with Tejas,only argument they has that Jf17 was inducted 5 year ahead.

No dear, from what i have heard PAF is pre-occupied so it will not be participating, although Bahraini authorities are still requesting since most of the participants are there for mostly static display so they are desperate to get some participants to put on a flying display to give it some air show feeling.

No. He keeps on parading a 4 year old picture to prove that the fuselage of the JF-17 is imported from China. The initial batch had imported fuselages as the manufacturing of it had not been set up at PAC back then. You can go through the JF-17 development threads to find the details.

Since you only joined in 2013, you can be forgiven for white-knighting. Since Water Car Engineer has been here since 2010, he is being disingenuous.

Its really strange how the elite members of this forum are taking active part in trolling fest, Such jobless, Awesome!!!!!
May be its their bread n butter to post only craps over here.

Too much of excitation as if some breakthrough has been achieved in aerospace engineering which can change the face of all aviation industry across the world. A country which doesn't even have any premium research center or institute, publishing phd papers on aeronautics on a forum of discourse.

Some Facts:
As TEJAS uses composite fiber in its maximum portion of the body ( remember material is one of the single most critical tech in modern aeronautics) and as it got a twin seater trainer and a NAVAL variant .it is already steps ahead of another aircraft in light section across the world not only JF 17.

Those r having the sagacity to compare JF and LCA, its for them:

LCA is completely transparent, indigenous effort to bring a country's aerospace engineering and industry to a international level. A lot of sweaty efforts of various institute, r&d org and users has been invested in this project, its not like a complete fuselage shipment in a transport aircraft from a foreign country. Ups n Dwns r der but at EOD we r getting results of our genuine effort.

Where as JF is a completely Chinese product (with some western avionics) successfully assembled in pakistan. India/HAL already have achieved a lot in this license manufacturing field and delivered all those in numbers also. It has been doing so since the MIG-21 era Even russian have inducted our modified SU-30s in to their AF. So those who blabbers a lot about 66 operational pieces, they need to do lot more to catch up with the regional players.
A low tech license production and induction in numbers is a nut job now a days in india.

May be both of the aircraft JF-17 and LCA have been build for same kind of role with in same weight class but certainly they both differs in their purpose and priorities.
