TAI joined in Top-100 defence institute list at 83th rank

.
Aselsan is 76th This must be credible

Defense News - Top 100 for 2011

Lockheed martin, on top of the list is doing almost everything Aselsan Roketsan and TAI is doing BAE Systems is also similiar. What if Aselsan take over Roketsan and TAI? Would that add to the cooperation between the corporations or would it make it harder for adminstration? Most shares are being held by TSKGV anyway.

I think this is worth discussing.

.
If we want to become 10th largest economy by 2023, we must have more companies in this list for sure. This Top 100 firm list is also a proof that which countries are advanced in technology and science. Any objection?

I think you could compare that to the development of big companies in the last decade and out-sourcing certain departments of their companies. Big fat coperations are many times slow and ineffective, there are to long communication ways which is causing even more ineffectiveness. Smaller entities are in most cases more flexible and effective. Probably not a good idea.
Also competition is a must for innovation, no company (even if its government-owned) should be prefered if there is another domestic product which is better.

No doubt about it. In following years, I expect to see the name of FNSS and Roketsan as well.

Roketsan with many serious rocket-missile programs (K and K+ artillery rockets, new ballistic missile to be delivered to Turkish Army, UMTAS, OMTAS, Cirit, KMTAS anti-tank missiles, Atmaca SSM, two SAM missile development, Akya torpedos, Submarine bombs) and;

FNSS with many wheeled armoured vehicles (They broke an export record and preparing to announce a new export record with announcing 1 billion $ deal with an X country ) along with tracked armoured vehicle productions being under development phase, I think Both would not get any difficulty to join into king's club in 2013-14.

BTW, Otokar with Arma series wheeled armoured vehicles, ALTAY MBT, Cobra series light armoured vehicles may join into top-100 in next 5-6 years.

UK: 10 company
Russia: 7 company
Japan: 6 company
French: 5 company
Israel: 4 company
S. Korea: 3 company
Germany: 3 company
Turkey: 2 company ( I expect to see 2-3 more Turkish institutes to be joined into this club in next years (2013-14) easily. Projects they works on clearly indicates this rank)
Italy: 2 company
Norway: 2 company
India: 2 company
Spain: 1 company
Sweden: 1 company
Switzerland: 1 company
Netherland: 1 company
Canada: 1 company
Finland: 1 company
Brazil: 1 company
Singapore: 1 company

Not necessarily friend.

1. This list only calculates using revenues in US$.
2. Countries with huge "defense" (offense, actually) budgets like USA compared to their 'rivals' are bound to have more companies in the list. Even if country X, Y or Z has some of the most advanced scientific, industrial and technological basis but no political decision to spend much on military, not many companies from those countries will be on such lists.
3. USA, for example, finds a disproportionately high number of companies in this list because no Chinese companies are listed, because they 'extort' huge sums of money from idiotic despotic rulers in certain desert kingdoms for pretty much useless and downgraded weapons that can never be used against USA or even Europe. At the same time, most European countries, Japan, or similar countries spend much less on 'defense' than USA as % of their gov't budget because they are politically 'aligned'/'dependent' on USA.
4. US based firms are able to snare many more contracts from almost all countries around the world due to their strong media, propaganda and political departments. Examples are Rafale vs F-16 in Morocco. Morocco chose F-16 even though Rafale was better in almost every performance indicator simply because of American political 'clout'. France is not even half as powerful in global politics today. I reckon the same was the case in Singapore and South Korea.
5. Again, the problem with 'revenues' is that it only calculates the amount earned, not necessarily whether equipment provided by that company is necessarily of a higher quality than its counterparts. As a result, Dassault would earn 0 euro for selling 0 rafaleabroad, but Lockheed Martin/Boeing would earn billions for selling the much worse F-16/F-15 to Morocco, Korea or Singapore, perhaps.
6. I think Iranian, Kazakh, or maybe some Arab and similar firms were omitted from the list on purpose, as their earlier publications also did because they could not find data, or for some political reasons.
7. In short, this list is just an interesting list to pore over but one should not read too much into it.

36 Hindustan Aeronautics
69 Bharat Electronics

Why does not exist any Chinese firm in the list?

Have you taken an IQ test? I request you to do that and post your true score. That would probably explain your post.

It's clear that you have mental problems with Turkey but its also clear that you have no idea about what sarcasm stands for. I'm sure you are stupid enough to understand what I will say, but I'll try to explain;

If you want to sell arms to any other nations, first you must develop something. If you want to develop something, you must conduct research. For things like this, you need engineers, technicians, institutes and knowledge. I don't care why the fu*ck Arabs and Iranians can't enter the list, but there is a success, so please shut up and do something useful for the community.
