TAI joined in Top-100 defence institute list at 83th rank

It's clear that you have mental problems with Turkey but its also clear that you have no idea about what sarcasm stands for. I'm sure you are stupid enough to understand what I will say, but I'll try to explain;

If you want to sell arms to any other nations, first you must develop something. If you want to develop something, you must conduct research. For things like this, you need engineers, technicians, institutes and knowledge. I don't care why the fu*ck Arabs and Iranians can't enter the list, but there is a success, so please shut up and do something useful for the community.

The only thing you have shown is that you lack intelligence.

Many firms are not listed in that f*cking American list because that list is made by f*cking ignorant American b*stards. So please shut up and reply when you have the brains to understand what it is that I responded to. I did not even mention Turkey once in that post.

If you do not have the brains to understand my earlier post, come back so I can break it down into even simpler bits so that perhaps kindergarten students can understand, or maybe so that they can help you understand.

Edit:
Let me repeat my earlier post. If you fail to understand it and respond with idiocy, it only shows that your intelligence is at the same level as that of Indian Idiots. Not surprisingly, it is those Indian Idiots that thank your post.

1. This list only calculates using revenues in US$.
2. Countries with huge "defense" (offense, actually) budgets like USA compared to their 'rivals' are bound to have more companies in the list. Even if country X, Y or Z has some of the most advanced scientific, industrial and technological basis but no political decision to spend much on military, not many companies from those countries will be on such lists.
3. USA, for example, finds a disproportionately high number of companies in this list because no Chinese companies are listed, because they 'extort' huge sums of money from idiotic despotic rulers in certain desert kingdoms for pretty much useless and downgraded weapons that can never be used against USA or even Europe. At the same time, most European countries, Japan, or similar countries spend much less on 'defense' than USA as % of their gov't budget because they are politically 'aligned'/'dependent' on USA.
4. US based firms are able to snare many more contracts from almost all countries around the world due to their strong media, propaganda and political departments. Examples are Rafale vs F-16 in Morocco. Morocco chose F-16 even though Rafale was better in almost every performance indicator simply because of American political 'clout'. France is not even half as powerful in global politics today. I reckon the same was the case in Singapore and South Korea.
5. Again, the problem with 'revenues' is that it only calculates the amount earned, not necessarily whether equipment provided by that company is necessarily of a higher quality than its counterparts. As a result, Dassault would earn 0 euro for selling 0 rafaleabroad, but Lockheed Martin/Boeing would earn billions for selling the much worse F-16/F-15 to Morocco, Korea or Singapore, perhaps.
6. I think Iranian, Kazakh, or maybe some Arab and similar firms were omitted from the list on purpose, as their earlier publications also did because they could not find data, or for some political reasons.
7. In short, this list is just an interesting list to pore over but one should not read too much into it.

Can you please tell me a company from Iran/Kazakhistan/Arab World can enter to the list?

Congrats to Turkey.

This list should be treated as a indictor rather than a absolute. It does give some indication of the technological prowess of these countries although because the list is one dimensional you have to apply some common sense if your going to extrapolate all sort of things from this.

However without a shred of doubt I would be proud if Pakistan were on this list so yes Turks should and can draw pride from this. There are some very advanced countries like Ireland or Sweden which have not made it to the list on account of having very small defence industries.

There are two countries in the world with populations in excess of 1 billion. This size factor should alone provide a impetus that ought to ensure they are at least on this list. India makes it on this acount but I am surprised that China does not.

To illustrate the implications of size consider this. India [ population 1.1 billion ] - Turkey [ population 75 million ] which means a 14.6 times differance. Therefore if Indian punch was equal to the Turkish they would have a presence 14.6 times times greater and would probably overtake the USA. So Turkey is doing very well compared to it's size.

Norway, Switzerland are the real stars. Norway has a population barely that of a large city. Isreal is another star although the follopian tube connecting it to USA will account for lot of it's edge.

I have no intention to piss of 1,101,000,000 Indian's so let me add a caveat here. No Pakistani company made it into this list. HIT, POF or PAC would not even come close to making it. Although I suspect if we were 6-7 times bigger like India and everything would than increase accordingly one or two Pakistani concerns would probably make it into the list.

Banglar Lathial.

I can think of many things to call the Americans, b*st*rds, warmongers, fat p*gs but ignorent is definitely not one of them. They do happen to be the most advanced country in the world with some of the best research centres in the world. The PC I am using is running on a Intel chip [US] with IE browser[US] and Google [US].

Ignorent?

2001 Top 100 - Rank - Defense News[/url]

There were 3 Turkish firm in top 100 10 years ago. Is it a success or fail for us?

There must be something wrong in the 2001 ranking

there was only one japanese firm in 2001 but there were 11 japanese firms in 2000 and 2002

Were the japanese sleeping in that year??
