Supreme Court disqualifies Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in unanimous verdict

So it's not the Constitution that mandates Nawaz' removal as party leader but the PPO?

If you'd read the URL where PPO is published, it says CONSTITUTION. PPO is part of the constitution.

Why are you at your idiotic tricks again or are you just thick?

I only asked because Indira Gandhi did a sort of "coup" when she declared Emergency after being ousted by the Supreme Court

Not possible, because NS is not PM and emergency can be reverted by SCP which have more power and can order other institutions to take appropriate action.

Yeah its not that big a deal to cause general elections. Not that unstable like the 90s.

Just like in 2012, the Parliament will select a new PM. Simple.

Most likely the CM shehbaz Sharif will resign from his post and contest election from NA 120 which was the constituency of former PM Nawaz. And then afterwards shahbaz Sharif will become Prime minister and his son hamza shahbaz will most likely become CM by contesting on his father's empty constituency and becoming MPA and thus CM of Punjab assembly.

The above process should take sixty days so till then the parliament will elect an interim PM.

General elections will happen in their own time.

PM is simply an elected individual of the much larger Parliament of 342 elected. The speaker, deputy speaker and president are all elected individuals by the parliament. The parliament is the government and it can reelect these individuals, bring them to answer in front and force them to resignation.

The funniest thing would be if Shahbaz lost the by-election. Nawaz Sharif won by 90K votes against PTI's 50k in 2013 but you never know.

What's up Paks?

First you Crushed indians in Historic Victory in your beloved cricket.

And now you make History in the Rule of Law.

Are you in a winning mood?

@Irfan Baloch , I guess further betrayals of Pak will come to light as well.

@Narendra Trump , Young Pak, are you behind this?

@PaklovesTurkiye @Spring Onion @Windjammer @MastanKhan @django @Areesh @war&peace @Kaptaan @Oscar

Well, Pak Friends, I guess there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Do your SC judges read PDF... looks like my silent campaign against corruption has an effect on the Meta-Material... Morphic Field. Who knows... now time to tackle religious corruption too... Clean Sweap!!!!
actually there is light at both ends of the tunnel in my opinion.

So all this hullabaloo for nothing? Basically Nawaz Sharif will be running Pakistan from the back seat now!

the Shahbaz guy is not a kid who can be dictated, he himself is heavyweight (3 times CM Punjab and 2nd in command of PMLN) and was the reason behind PMLN's overwhelming victory in Punjab. he is considered close to establishment unlike Nawaz..

PPO is executive order from 2002. When did it become part of Pakistan's constitution? (And why are you bothering with insults?)

Well, I won't shed a tear so long as the current 'system' continues and improves and there's orderly transition of power in timely manner. Pakistani politicians and the world politicians are all too often corrupt but a country suffers far more in strategic, political, and economic terms when there's chaos and lack of orderly transfer of power than it suffers from not too extreme corruption.

Anyway, here's to Imran Khan's becoming the PM of Pakistan in 2018!

I agree with you. Political stability is crucial and to be honest it would not be much difference if Nawaz lead the country or his brother shabaz though this verdict of supreme court was significant as it challenged the ruling elites

But very unlikely for PTI to win majority in next election
