Supreme Court disqualifies Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in unanimous verdict

Hairli olsun....May it bring it (K)hair....

Since it's a judicial process, not much can be speculated, and the verdict needs to be respected....

Pak is a nation of 200m+ folks. They'll definitely find another PM in the shortest possible time. As long as her Deep State (Establishment) is OK in its mission and vision the rest can be recuperated ASAP.....

What's up Paks?

First you Crushed indians in Historic Victory in your beloved cricket.

And now you make History in the Rule of Law.

Are you in a winning mood?

@Irfan Baloch , I guess further betrayals of Pak will come to light as well.

@Narendra Trump , Young Pak, are you behind this?

Well, Pak Friends, I guess there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Do your SC judges read PDF... looks like my silent campaign against corruption has an effect on the Meta-Material... Morphic Field. Who knows... now time to tackle religious corruption too... Clean Sweap!!!!

i dont know how to react or feel ...
i am against p.m.l.n , but what other alternatives we have , lets be fair PTI is never going to win from punjab or kpk .
if their is a slight chance of PPP getting stronger , i would myself in full consciousness again vote for p.m.l.n .
I hate P.m.l.n , but i abhor ppp. They would ruin the country .
Right now pakistan was passing through a very tough time , there is fear of implementation of CPEC , on top of that trump administration was mulling something bad for pakistan along with india .
army must keep itself to the security of the country , it is at stake right now .what if due to nawaz sherif disqualification, we loose all the little gains we made . specially stability . because we all know , these politicians if not in power , do not care about national security or anything .
i seriously think the mother of all evils PPP should be accountable , military leadership old or new is also not above law . how can we proceed further now if there is no across the board accountability . the civilians and military would just continue to do blame games while we people of pakistan would be struck in limbo .
i can tell you for sure that , though i support imran khan from heart , but the reality is that he can never become p.m of pakistan , under the present circumstances or current reality . what if he become one , would he able to steer this nation . would he able to go against ppp ??

So what happens next? Fresh elections?

Yeah its not that big a deal to cause general elections. Not that unstable like the 90s.

Just like in 2012, the Parliament will select a new PM. Simple.

Most likely the CM shehbaz Sharif will resign from his post and contest election from NA 120 which was the constituency of former PM Nawaz. And then afterwards shahbaz Sharif will become Prime minister and his son hamza shahbaz will most likely become CM by contesting on his father's empty constituency and becoming MPA and thus CM of Punjab assembly.

The above process should take sixty days so till then the parliament will elect an interim PM.

General elections will happen in their own time.

PM is simply an elected individual of the much larger Parliament of 342 elected. The speaker, deputy speaker and president are all elected individuals by the parliament. The parliament is the government and it can reelect these individuals, bring them to answer in front and force them to resignation.

The state of Pakistan is redeeming itself from the clutches of the corrupt. It will demolish anything that will hinder the process of cleansing. This mafia was the strongest and well-entrenched devil. Their disqualification means that no one will be spared.

So all this hullabaloo for nothing? Basically Nawaz Sharif will be running Pakistan from the back seat now!

Voting for lesser of the two evils is still voting for evil.

Vote Change! Vote PTI! They haven't proven their Evil yet or if.

Love this post! Winning!

Most likely the CM shehbaz Sharif

Shahbaz is unlikely to survive Azizia/Hudabia probes coming up plus another petition against him for misuse of power for personal gains - case of shifting sugar mills to cotton growing areas.

So all this hullabaloo for nothing? Basically Nawaz Sharif will be running Pakistan from the back seat now!

I wouldn't say nothing. It has far reaching effects for example the judgment has set a precedent that undeclared wealth of any kind no matter how small whether in possession or not will result in disqualification of holding office. This precedent can and will be used against other corrupt officials who hold such undeclared wealth on top of it all it also helps create supremacy of courts and law especially against the elite who consider themselves above it. This alone is an amazing victory for a third world developing country which is famous for letting the corrupt go Scot free. These are initial steps and if followed could have far reaching effects.

As for running things Nobody can stop him from running anything. Its his right. If the elected parliament listens to him and the people keep electing his party then by all means he can run things from uganda or jail.

However with this decision he can't hold office of government and even his own party and he will have to face trial in NAB under the supervision of supreme court along with his children.

This is a democracy. Accountability and supremacy of law is everything but in the end onus is on the people. If they keep electing PMLN then of course Nawaz will rule from the shadows and it will be the people's own fault.

Democracy is people making their own fate. If the people so foolishly give his party vote based on him when the highest court in the country has ousted him for corruption and lying then they deserve Ill Fate and they have no right to cry about corruption.

Well if the nation can vote in the name of a person dead so long ago then it is very much possible to see Nawaz rule from shadows.

Quite frankly despite everything I predict the 2018 election to be like this.

So it's not the Constitution that mandates Nawaz' removal as party leader but the PPO?
