Well, the problem with the bold part is that according to the producers of this movie.. they've basically ditched all other canon except the movies.. so the whole saga from there on in of Thrawn, Anakin Skywalker-II, Yuzhan Wong.. Mara jade.. apparently just got shoved under the carpet.

Hopefully they will introduce the Voss and Gormaks into the series, and the destiny of the Last Gormak revealed....

Not sure if the Sith can be truly vanquished. Their existence does provide some balance to the force.
But apparently, everything is on the table for this instalment. I just hope J.J does not leave out the efforts on non human species.. like with the paper-mache aliens in "ST Into darkness".

Both the Sith and Jedi can truly be vanquished and are just illusions of the Force. In my opinion.

Both the Sith and Jedi can truly be vanquished and are just illusions of the Force. In my opinion.

But that implies that the force or the medichlorians can/will reveal themselves to the ordinary being.

It does on the subconscious level but is largely affected by the hosts state of emotion and willingness to accept, the Sith and Jedi over power the midichlorians through training and from birth, whereas Gray Jedi and Voss have been revealed and have accepted it subconsciously allowing the Force to be used in its true forms.
