This is infact a old story thread.

1) Bangladesh will never let India to host any strategic installation like port in BD's soil. No government ever will dare to do that. Why? The simple answer "WE DONT TRUST INDIANS".
2) Bangladesh will never let any Indian oil and gas companies the right to explore. Why? The answer is "WE DONT TRUST INDIANS".
3) Bangladesh will not let Indian vehicle to go unattended in the name of transit. The anwser is again "SECURITY AND TRUST".
4) Bangaldesh will never buy military hardware from India. Why? Again "WE DONT TRUST INDIANS".
6) China will start constructing the Deep Sea Port from January next month. We just love to see Indian concern on that. But India could do $hit about it.
7) We will construct Chittagong-Kumming rail and road link and the work already started long before so called Asian Highway synonym of Indian corridor. We got our priority set. China is more important than India.

How India is beneficial to us.
1) We want to sell our products to 1 billion Indian consumer.
2) We want to make money through transit.
3) We want Indian cotton, maise, onions, iron ore and other raw material for our Indsutrialised country and sell the finished product back to India and make more and more money.

India is just our money making machine for future.. Nothing more...

Why there is so much fuss over road link? If BD and China want to do their business they can do through Sea route as well. As far as route trade is considered through India. I am sure GoI will not allow the same and even China will not use the same as the Highway has to cross Mountaneus region for trade which is not safe for maximum time of the year.
If Sino-BD route comes through Burma then BD has to be carefull because of Myanmar Junta and their border skirmish, India will and can't create problem for the ties as Junta is as faithful to India as it is of China. Remember it has given port access to both countries.

No I actually don't need to explain anything here. It's you who made a baseless claim: Pakistan's economy is heavily strained by the trade imbalance; now you justify your claim. It's always in Pakistan's interest to decrease the trade gap and reap greater benefits from its trade with China. But the gap in China's favor and the desire of Pakistanis to decrease the gap does not justify your claim! Pakistan gets raw materials for it's value added products mostly from China - so the trade with China definitely does not create "HEAVY STRAIN".

You go do your own research on this and let me know if you find something contrary to my statement.
