This wasn't the outcome of an Ummah-based foreign policy; it was the outcome of Pakistan's foreign policy related decisions. Turkey and China have always sided with Pakistan due to a very complex and deep relationship. Saudi Arabia (read GCC) is using both countries from time to time, Pakistan and India, to achieve her own goals. The GCC Arabs preferred you over India in this case. This does not mean Ummah is working here. I can show you many examples of GCC-Indian cooperation which are contrary to the Ummah concept.

We all know that SSG was sent to fight the militants, but after reading your comment i wanted to make sure, so i researched and here are my findings

1. The attackers were lead by Mohammed Abdullah al-Qahtani & Juhayman al-Otaybi, they were brother-in-laws
2. Contrary to your statement above, they were not from Iran or supported by Iran, infact they were not even Shias
3. They both were Saudis and from Najd.
4. None of the 200+ attackers were from Iran, majority of them were Saudis.
5. Saudis had also requested the French for assistance.
6. Khomeini had actually supported the Saudis.

GCC has no special relationship with India. India and GCC countries have a lot of business ties.

Which is not as big as Americans. Meanwhile, China an atheist nation have the best relationship with Pakistan and other GCC. I don't see any particular interest for GCC to India.

The two parties involved in this issue are Saudia and Iran. Others revolving around the issue are not really making any difference.
