This FATF story was a pure propaganda to save Modi and give some kind of impression that Modi has achieved some thing here but actually he has not achieved any thing other than making Meida help him to save face. Pakistan has clearly avoided the Grey list and Pakistan's name was not on the FATF published list. From Feburary 1 Indian Media started saying Pakistan's name will be on the list and the meeting has gone and Indian media is still saying Pakistan's name will be on the list lol, When will that day come when Pakistan's will get hurt from any action Modi took in his PM ship time period. All I can see is Indian Air force getting weak with a corrupt Rafael deal.

2. FGFA deal is ready but he would not sign it
3. Whole world including NATO countries are procuring S-400 but he does not care

Modi has seriously compromised the national security of India.

BJP performance will be reduced..But the extent of reduction depends on the alternative choice that is being offered to the public.Let us debate it in another thread...

I think people are seeing this the wrong way..

Let us look at the sinister objective of India and USA. i.e. To put Pakistan on the blacklist.

With all their might they failed to do so. It was embarrassing for them also it exposed to every one that they did it because of political motives. Every one knows that. Pakistan was already in engaged in this process and by no mean behaving like a rogue nation. There were deficiencies sure even the government admits but it was an on going process for which there is engagement with FATP.

Could out Foreign policy handed better .. of course, but did the Americans win despite all their power? a big NO.

this event in many shows how limited action they can take against Pakistan.


The grey list only means more monitoring and reporting requirements to be done by MOF and State bank... that is about it.

There is a big lesson for us as a nation and the one we dont want to learn.

China, Saudi Arabia and GCC are all countries. Countries have interests not friends. We take our relationship with countries as if they are our classmates, our buddies. They are not. All countries work for their interests.

Our country is weak, is dependent on loans and has a bad reputation. Which 'democratic' government in the past decade has worked on these issues? The 'elected' governments only think about their political survival and perpetuation of tenure. In the case of current government, what ways to explore to hide corruption, no matter at country's expense.

Unless Pakistan is not strong, it has no friends. Pakistan will never be strong under leaders like the baboons we have controlling our destiny. Bhutto, no matter how much you disagree, was a strong leader. He rallied Arab countries around himself and created a very cooperative environment. Earned Pakistan a lot of respect. Same was with Zia and even Musharraf.

I doubt China and GCC/KSA have abandoned Pak once and for all. What if this opportunity is used to further strengthen their positions(China just became Vice President or something if I remember correctly from another thread) in FATF so that they can protect Pak better next time?

Pakistan has its interests ....... but US has bigger interests and some of those interests cannot ignore or keep Pakistan out of them.

If only Pakistani leaders, Bureaucracy, Government servants, establishment and policy makers hadn't sold their souls and valued Pakistan's interests over their own individual petty interests (Mayray baitay ka visa lagwa do) ...... US would have been victim of its own laws for putting Pakistan in any of the bad lists ....... it would have been a difficult difficult situation for US ....... postpone and sacrifice its own interests and pressurize Pakistan .... or cooperate and achieve their goals ......
