Either you are not trying to understand or avoiding to answer..If US can persuade Saudi Arab, do not you think China could have pursuaded any other country with his spehere of influence to vote for Pakistan? If China can stand for Pakistan in NSG and Hafeez Sayeed case in UN, why not they use their influence to convince other nation?

As i said earlier, these kind of threads is running full of emotons without real substantial discussion.
1- 1st of all, as we stand today, there is no ban on Pakistan...Period...Wait for June, the meeting will be used as another pressure tactics to discuss with Pakistan..And i am not sure, nothing is going to happen in June too.

2- Not sure, if Pakistan member try to believe it or they pretend to not to think about it, but China definitely took an excuse of Saudi Arab to back out which is not expected...Let us be honest to admit that China has capability to influence some other nation to vote for Pakistan in place of SA.
3- Some posters in PDF started abusing Gulf for ditching them and start prasing for Turkey...But trust me, Turkey is not going to allow hundreds of thousands of people of South Asia to get employed and remit billions of dollars to home country....It is not happening now nor it is going to happen in future...Turkey is simply getting the benefit of doubt due to the foreign policy failure of Pakistan...Turkey would like to be new supreme leader of Muslim world...At some point in future, when Pakistan is stable, Pakistan will be in odd with Turkey than Gulf due to its common aspiration of both Pakistan and Turkey to lead the Muslim world.
So they just want to show Pakistan, BD and some other nation that how much they care about them...But on ground, there is no significant benifit can be derived with your friendship with Turkey.
4- Most important thing is about why there is so much fuss about these FATF...Pakistan was there before and what will happen if it happens now? The problem of Pakistan is not about US or others..Rather it is providng conflicting narrative to the world...See how Iran is supporting Hamas...If you guys are intrested to stand up for HS and support him for Kashmir cause, then stand behind him properly...Do not play your silly game that you commit to the world you will take action against him and later on you release with silly execuse. I have not seen a single statement from US state department or FATF officials that Pakistan will be placed on the list in june. Okay if the list is secret and this is also secret that Pakistan will be placed in june then how the hell all those News sites know about it? Now USA is trying to achieve what? This is about banning terror funding and not groups. The terror funding was banned even before this meeting so as an out come of this meeting Pakistan has not taken any more action on it so how is this meeting being effective?

This FATF story was a pure propaganda to save Modi and give some kind of impression that Modi has achieved some thing here but actually he has not achieved any thing other than making Meida help him to save face. Pakistan has clearly avoided the Grey list and Pakistan's name was not on the FATF published list. From Feburary 1 Indian Media started saying Pakistan's name will be on the list and the meeting has gone and Indian media is still saying Pakistan's name will be on the list lol, When will that day come when Pakistan's will get hurt from any action Modi took in his PM ship time period. All I can see is Indian Air force getting weak with a corrupt Rafael deal.

Current Saudi king would much rather have normal relations with the western countries, less confrontational situation with the U.S. and more engagement with the international powers. Why would Saudis stick their neck out for Pakistan who has nothing except good military? Corrupt ex-prime minister, corrupt and dysfunctional current leadership, incompetent Pakistani foreign office and its diplomats. On the other hand India, the real criminal in terrorism but due to its diplomacy is pampered, cajoled, glamorized and richly rewarded by the Saudis and fully encouraged by the US.
