No F-7BGI does not have similar capabilities as to FC-1/JF-17 ref to JF-17 Thread.

You are getting nothing else besides F-7BGI as replacement of 7 A-5 Fantans and 9-10 F-7MB possibly to be exact 16 in numbers. So Not so fast, not so soon. 16 Yak-130 (dual variant Attack/Training 131 variant) would cost $17-$18M each not including weapons/other equipment and life time cost. YAK-130/131 in few numbers [8] could be a possibility but after the induction of F-7BGI and around 2014-2015.

We already ordered 1 squadron of Yak-130 and is confirmed. The price is right. The delivery will be within a year or so.

The only variant is not confiremed yet MRCA from Russia. We are expecting SU-30 or Mig-29 within a year or two. The report said they are still negotiating with Russia along with modern Radar.

The plan I been telling along that up to year 2021 not post 2021. All the purchase and modernisation will be completed by 2021. But I am confused about submarine purchase as the plan laid out post 2019 induction but the report submitted to the parliament tells that they are procuring it now.

Anyway the reason why bd is training a lot of pilots is probably because they BAF wants to select the best of the best and keep the rest in case something happens to the main pilots

Are you retarded??? Nations spend astronomical amounts training pilots. There is no A team and B team in fighter pilots. Since the govt invests so much money, they are all pressed into service. No such thing as a backup fighter pilot

I have re-edited my post, BUT facts remains F-7s after much upgrades can do so much. Yes bvr capable but does it have the radar that FC-1 has. F-7BGI is fine stop gap and is going to replace 16 airframes that include 7 A-5 Fantans and 14 F-7MB, thus the replacement of 16 Jets would be covered by 2013, only 2-4 would be delivered in 2012.

Sums up 16 F-7BGIs and 16 Trainers either all Basic (PT-6) or all Advance (L-39 most likely) or Mix of Them that is Basic and Advance comprised of basic russian Trainers and Yak-130 or 131 dual Attack/Advance Trainer Variant.

The question remains why would BAF go for su-30 when su-35 is a generation leap with airframe having lower RCS apart from other much improved avionics and systems, remember you want 16 in number technologically advance su-35 are the right way forward post 2015-2020+, than again would hindustani lobby let you acquire a better su-30 variant atleast; with the clause that China would not let it upgrade on par with J-11 variants which are essentially highly upgrades of Flanker Series. The last ditch efforts of BAF should be to acquire additional 16 Mig-29 variants with AESA Radars including upgrades refurbishment of the current inventory in BAF.

I am sure BD airforce will order the best what money can buy from Russia. But Israeli avionics/weapons will most likely not included for sure. May be some european goodies.

i am in a mission to make bdeshis pro india..............i know that bd's will reject indian fighters and moreover i am not sure that india will be willing to export them

F-7BGI will have almost similar capabilities as J-17 or FC-1. Besides, we are buying another squadron from Russia probably SU-30 and one squadron of Yak-130. So low and high combination will suit us very well. inducting 48 aircraft within a year is no fckin joke.

I like JF-17, FC-1 yet I think BD will stick to main supplier only eg. China or Russia. Somehow Chinese convinced BD airforce about this F-7BGI. We still need to wait and see what comes with it.

nope..by the way..SU-30 mki is a custom made version for IAF (equipments from various countries)...so,India may give you the contacts from where you can buy the equipments...
