No F-7BGI does not have similar capabilities as to FC-1/JF-17 ref to JF-17 Thread.
You are getting nothing else besides F-7BGI as replacement of 7 A-5 Fantans and 9-10 F-7MB possibly to be exact 16 in numbers. So Not so fast, not so soon. 16 Yak-130 (dual variant Attack/Training 131 variant) would cost $17-$18M each not including weapons/other equipment and life time cost. YAK-130/131 in few numbers [8] could be a possibility but after the induction of F-7BGI and around 2014-2015.
No, but modernization post 2018 plan does reflect to procure a technologically advance fighters possibly J-10 or SU-35.
It just states fighter planes from russia. Could be mig29 or su30
Anyway the reason why bd is training a lot of pilots is probably because they BAF wants to select the best of the best and keep the rest in case something happens to the main pilots
how bout mki??? i mean SM ......it is the 2nd best su-30 variant after su-35 ....ofcourse super su-30 will be better than su-35
YOu probably did not understand the post as it is written in Bengali.
The post is based on the report submitted by the armed forces to the parliament. So it is authentic as rock.
You are right about F-7 BGI number but is much improved than F-7BG with BVR capabilities and digital cockpit.
We already ordered 1 squadron of Yak-130 and is confirmed. The price is right. The delivery will be within a year or so.
The only variant is not confiremed yet MRCA from Russia. We are expecting SU-30 or Mig-29 within a year or two. The report said they are still negotiating with Russia along with modern Radar.

Are you retarded??? Nations spend astronomical amounts training pilots. There is no A team and B team in fighter pilots. Since the govt invests so much money, they are all pressed into service. No such thing as a backup fighter pilot
Looks like you are new to the forum. Even if hypothetically Indians were exporting the raptor,BDeshis would still reject it and buy the F7s
New Recruit
brother FC-1 has less cost and its maintenance is easyF-7BGI will have almost similar capabilities as J-17 or FC-1. Besides, we are buying another squadron from Russia probably SU-30 and one squadron of Yak-130. So low and high combination will suit us very well. inducting 48 aircraft within a year is no fckin joke.
