If you are, it is better that you worry about your own defence deals which are never under public scrutiny since your Army is above all government or public scrutiny. Actually, Russia has already made it clear that they will side with China. So now, India need to make a choice as well. Otherwise, it will continue to get screwed by both sides as no one would trust India. Because if you are not in, then you are out.

Will you kindly stop this nonsense? If the DRDO was capable of designing and manufacturing a supersonic cruise missile like the Brahmos on its own, we would never have gone to the Russians. The fact is that they can't and no one but the Russians would give us the tech to do it. So stop trying to blame our armed forces for the failures of our domestic government owned defence industry.

Modifying the under carriage of the SU-30 MKIs for carriage of Brahmos is not the same as designing and making the SU-30 MKIs. If the IAF is silent today, it is because the IAF is depending on the SUs and the PAK FAs to defend India from the threats around us. Believe me, the day the DRDO/HAL comes up with fighters comparable to these, no one will talk about Russians or foreign stuff. Till then, tall claims are just that, not worth the paper they are printed on.

This is one of the purpose of a forum. As political decision is an extension of military matters or vice versa. Also, I do discuss more than just India. But I have to confess I only talk about India in the Indian section of the forum.

This incident just happened. But its an extension of the AC incident. And I would bet my life that more incidents like this are on the way, as long as India would not make up its mind on which side it stand.

US definitely is the most powerful country. But Russia will not side with the US base on the situation in Europe.
