Russia spat delays BrahMos air version

we bought Brahmops directly from russia..
and Russia is alone working on Brahmos hypersonic.....Dude the guidance system and software is from india and engine is of russian.....

First of all, I am claiming that India can not build anything. Even with its minimal manufacturing capability, it can build a few things here and there. But the topic of this thread is about Brahmos so this is what I will address here.

India cannot build Brahmos by itself, while Russia can. Russia do not need India technical assistance. So the only thing India can offer is $. Its a matter of how much would India be willing to put out. And this will continue to be the defining issue for future Indian military acquisitions until

1) Indian can make its own weapons that its arm force desires(which would take a long long times)
2) India take side and get weapons as a friend. India is just a business partners for Russia, no longer a friend like USSR and India. A friend would not treat another friend like how Russia screw India on the Carrier deal.

Of course India can make some media attention stuff. But when it comes to Brahmos, India cannot make it by itself. Otherwise, it would make one that is longer than 300KM, which is an international treaty limitiation. Also, if India would not pay up, Russia would not help India out and you fanboys would have no chance to brag about hypersonic Brahmos.

No, I just think that Taiwanese whether pro or anti mainland, have better things to do with their time than indulge in continuous India bashing. Even mainland or expat Chinese on this site do not do it. All Chinese that I have seen here exhibit a certain balance in their view points. Where I see a marked departure, I see reason to doubt the flags displayed. Maybe I am wrong. Anyway, I don't call the Chinese 'stupid' for they are not.

I'm certainly trying to talk common sense into Indians, which your previous post was doing. If I want to bash India, I would talk like Hongwu. And I certainly do not talk like him. I actually talk more like Joe Shear(SIC). He is one Indian guy that I admire the most as he has common sense. I thought you are like him but I think I'm wrong.

Almost all these things you talk about require foreign components. He was talking about entirely being capable of producing it yourselves.

Russian carriers are really a mix of half-heavy missile cruiser and half aircraft carrier. In the India carrier deal, is India going to receive missile compliment along with the carrier?

Thats not gonna happen, coz' China can never afford to concentrate on one front. In the turmoil India-China war, Taiwan will declare its independence and China will always face a threat from US and Japan..

It was funny when I saw on the other forums talks of exporting brahmos to taiwan to counter China. Funny thing is Taiwan already had the supersonic Hsiung Feng 3 deployed since 2008. Also talks of exporting LCA to Taiwan when they already had -1 Ching-kuo in 1994.
