Roketsan Turkey to help Pakistan develop various missiles

It would have been better if the MOU included air defense missiles as well.
One step at a time bro...lets walk before running

Great news. I hope in the future we collaberate between ourselves where the opportunity arises. Its a shame to see two nations who are brothers doing the same thing at the same time, seperately.
The west made us have this mindset.

With T-129, UMTAS and Cirit should come as a prerequisite.

Pakistan and Turkey should work on solid fuel rockets, especially mid-section side thrusting rocket engines on ATGMs.

Bro, It must be a similar guidance method called Pneumatic cold-gas side thruster.

I believe that is development for a mid-terminal stage guidance without need for control surfaces and actuators.

Mid-section propulsion is not a new technology (TOW is equipped with it), but it is very beneficial to reduce size and weight of man-portable missiles.

Type 01 LMAT from Japan has 2km range, missile itself weighs 11.4kg.

The utility of something like this is going to be........................

Successor of Baktar Shikan old models, very capable system with fire and forget capabilities.

If we be logically honest instead of being illogical and honest, then perhaps we can realize that we can't simply just go out and make something which we haven't made before. It takes time, resources, and patience. And when we can get the knowledge that is already in existence instead of sitting down and reinventing the wheel, it only helps us make quick jumps in the tech.

We don't have any Fire and Forget ATGMs and OMTAs and UMTAS can make a hell of a lot of difference, here. Not to forget the lock on after launch feature.

UMTAS-ER with 12km range is under development it will become Turkish Brimestone.

.
right ......... Turkey spend over $60 billion to develop hundreds of military project
and our technology is your technology .........always brothers
I don't know for sure if that's how things happen on a government to government level between Pak/Turkey but I would like to think it does. If Pak/Turkey are forthcoming sharing their tech with each other freely...then that allows for a synergistic effect. For example one can develop a radar while another can develop the engine...etc. rather than each nation trying to reinvent the wheel on their own.

UMTAS-ER was tested on field a long time ago. Its range was increased with decreasing the weight of warhead. The benefits of such a concept is considered ineffective so the project is cancelled. Instead of implementing a concept like UMTAS-ER, There is an ongoing program commenced with a different name called TEMREN which is aimed to develop a similar missile for longer range engagements. The main costumer of Temren will be Turkish Navy's SeaHawk helicopters. Temren Block-I will have a range around 15-18km. The main scope of Temren Blk-1 is to provide a striking capability to navy helicopters while staying out of enemy RAM missile's effective ranges. Temren Block-2 will also be integrated on SeaHawk helicopters along with corvettes, assault boats. It is planned to have a range around 30km at first but According to some inside information, The range to be aimed will be 50+km. Temren Blk-2 will replace aged Penguin missiles purchased from Norway. We may see Temren Blk-1 on Heavy class Atak-II helicopters whose MTOW will be around 10tons.

The that design of Atak-2 will also be changed, since That is the design which was considered to have a MTOW around 6 tons. According to changing requirements, The MTOW is considered to be around 10 tons so She will have a new and more bulky appearance in final.

Plus JF-17B to be operational in 2019. This news is also confirm.
I hope you are right
Pakistan needs to join in joint ventures around the world
Next thing we need is medium and light helicopter to replace the bells and mi17 may be 10-20 yrs down the line...numbers will be larger than jf17 ..turkey has a good program running

. . .
Turkish Anti Ship Missile , one of my Favorite we should get them

Chip, processors and advanced semi-conductors. The future is on silicon and gallium nitrade based microwave modules so We have to accelerate efforts to achieve success on those technologies since they are the brain of all electronics.
