REVEALED: How an Indian missile lay unguarded at South Korean port

Surely its a mock up. All of the displays of Prahaar have been mock ups.

This article is rather vague regarding what exactly was misplaced, as in unclear on whether the missiles alone or their support launchers and mobile command centre as well. IMO, the launchers and Command Centre accompanying the display look authentic. And they're sensitive tech as well.

.
Do you even find the news-story in post#1 believable?
Like those AGNI missiles which drive past down Rajpath on 26th January's RD Parade are armed with Nuclear Warheads!
And the Arjun MBTs in the same parade have LAHAT missiles loaded!
Or the Su-30 MKI "peeling off" in the fly-past finale are all carrying AAMs and Bombs!
HELLS BELLS!!! Even the marching columns do not have ammo in the magazines of their INSAS rifles !!!!
The only guys armed there are the guys who need to be armed........ you know who.

Now dont't tell me that you believe in Ghosts, Angels and Mermaids? :azn:
Which imbecile wrote that story above?

Well it all depends for what purpose a display is. For parades, they use mock ups but in defence expo they might or might not use real systems. It all depends what was the real purpose.

And yes I do believe in Ghosts, Angels, Mermaids and Aliens :D

.
Sack those Ignorant and irresponsible guys who is responsible for this.....

Our babus sent a Tectical Nuke to exibition and let is dry on sun with no security??

It's too much to buy/ swallow!!
Remember our media is well know to spice thing up and sell them as mirch ke Pokore. Do not get surprised if this whole thing proved to be a fake news!!

THIS IS REALLY SILLY. All the people responsible should be punished for revealing state secrets including guys from DRDO and MoD.

bunch of traitors and brainless twats

Great an INdian poster trying to downsize the security concerns raised. You overlook the use of Chinese origin logisitics handler of the missile. You overlook the issue of the missile being unguarded for a month. If what you is true an accurate about warhead and propellant not being installed (which I Doubt), it doesn't stop someone from getting a close look at the inner working of the engine and inner workings of the missile.

The fact that Modi is investigating the matter....is a red flag...

Too many lame mistakes being committed over and over again by Indians. IM fed and tired of it. Change your state of mind...wake up and smell the jasmine.....the world is not peaceful and sane you clueless f-ks

I just LMAO at that "Blah-Blah".......that you are attempting to pass of as 'sense'.
Rather, it just displays your ignorance of the International Regulations that control Declaration, Inspection, Packaging and Transportation of such "Sensitive, Lethal and Valuable Cargoes" by Sea (or Air).

Of course, DRDO may be the biggest collection of Twits on this planet; as you want to convince yourself. But in this instance; there were many Agencies/Entities in the Transportation of this Cargo from one Country to another.
Most of them were non-Indian just as the Regulations that they had to comply with were International (non-Indian). They will not breach the Regulations, unlike the Indians as you so fondly want to believe. That Verification Procedure takes place at multiple locations and at multiple levels, and in this case in more than one country.
If you are hoping to get educated about this, I am able to do so!

Of course if you are fed up and tired of it.........you can migrate...........to Somalia........for instance. :D

In the meanwhile: "keep smelling the $hit around where you live".
Do you even know what Jasmine smells like ? :azn:

Probably a noob question, but here goes:Is it possible they weren't just mockups, but genuine missiles who had no fuel and explosive warhead? As in, they had genuine seekers and propulsion systems and controls inside?

Nope.

Even the controls will be stripped. Nobody (even in DRDO !!) will want to take responsibility for "in-transit damage" caused to sensitive equipment. Instead simulation equipment is used IF there is a need for any Op. Demos.
For Example: Radar Equipment is frequently displayed at Defence EXPOs. Sometimes a Radar Picture forms part of the Display there. Do you think that the Radar is being then operated in an "Emission Mode"?
That picture (and other information in the Display) is generated by a Simulation Module. That has a number of advantages: primarily safety since Radar/Microwave Emissions are HAZARDS.
Then the other advantages are the operational Eqpt are not being needlessly exposed to the risk of damage.
Finally you conserve the Life of the Operational components and also obviate Eqpt. failure risk due to MTBF issues.

Nobody will want to face the risk of the Eqpt malfunctioning during a Demo in an EXPO.......least of all the Saleman. :)

They don't work anyway, what's the danger?

And that was the "product of profound THOUGHT" ????????
hunh!! mr.think-tank analist miyan????

Aajkal kahan-kahan sey kaisey "namoone" aa jatey hain ????

Well; its just another day on PDF, nothing new or unexpected.........

We are not talking about repainted North Korean missiles. We are talking about missiles of a country that operates Mars probes. Now go back and develop a 2 stroke moped engine in your country before trolling.

But this article seems to suggest that DRDO, instead of following the precedent as stated by you, instead chose to take authentic hardware for it's exhibition, and hence the hulla-bullo. And coming as it is from India Today and not some IDRW-ish source, is it possible there's an element of truth in their accusations?

Listen; it may come from India Today or Times Of India or The Martian Tribune......that does not make any difference.
Some things cannot be done; and that is not just connected to what DRDO can or cannot do. International Regulations just cannot be breached.
Now do one thing; go to a Shipping Agent....then tell him that you would like to ship a consignment of Anti-Tank Missiles to (say) Seoul via Incheon Port in S.Korea.

Then come back here and tell us (on PDF) what happens after that. At the least; ask him all about the regulatory procedures that you will need to comply with. It will be interesting.
