Saudi Arabia dont allow Kafirs into two holy cities Makkah and Madinah..
Its forbidden..
and i see a lot of Iranian pilgrims in both of these holy cities roaming freely, socialising etc.

They consider Iranians Muslims and dont consider them enemies.
So rubbish of some one saying that most of Saudis consider them Kafirs.

i hv seen alot of demobilisation of saudi armed forces, APC's, tanks, artillery as they are going back after completing the operation on Yemen Boder.
Maybe the unloading of military eqipment in Tabuk is a part of that.

They can turn a blind eye once but do you think they can when the IAF planes are returning after the attack?

one more thing.. Iraq was a totally different case.. Iraqis were not expecting an attack.. on otherhand Iranians are anticipating an attack and are well prepared and much more capable.

Technically, their was no saudi arabia and house of Saud was far away from the areas under Turk administration.

Saudi Arabia do not wish any conflict with any regional state and has always acted as a responsible state.

The Ottoman empire towards the end of its life had turned into just another imperial power. It was hollow from inside and its no wonder that the arabs, of who the Al-Sauds were one, wanted to get rid of their imperial rule.

Ofcourse, to say that the Saudi govt. considers shias as kafirs is ridiculous as they are all given access to the Holy cities as mentioned by Jonasad.


However, Iran has not been an angel and has continuously undermined Arabs in particular Saudi Arabia. From instigating the saudi shias in the eastern province to the Yemenis in the south as well as sponsoring acts of terrorism in Saudi soil. Moreover, it still occupies two islands that are claimed by the UAE. Ofcourse the Saudis and Pakistanis paid back by sponsoring Jundallah and Taliban in Afghanistan.

And although I doubt this news item is true, Iran trying to gain nukes does not really inspire confidence.

I don't see where that came from? GCC-India ties even in defense are pretty decent. Indian officials have been providing training to Saudi National guards since the 90s. And IN makes regular port of calls to the Saudi and other GCC ports. Not to mention the regular military exercises with Oman and UAE. At the same time, India also has good relations with Iran
The Saudis most recent conventional war was with Iraq. Infact, the Saudis have used Indians as interlocutors privately with reducing tensions with Iran.

I see nothing wrong with this - If i was a Saudi General i would urge the king to launch full war on Iran too.Iran by large has supported or tried to support Shia Insurgency in Saudi Arabia trying to disrupt peace and Saudi Arabia has plenty of equipment to take out Iran not sure about soldiers though!Iran has played plenty of dirty games in Sunni domniated countries trying to bring shia uprise.

Iran of 2010 is not the same as Iran of 1979. The 'exporting of revolution' worked both ways in the 80's: Saudi wahabbism and Iranian theocracy. So, there are no saints on any sides here.

Coming back to this topic, I think this is bogus! I mean, yes, IF Bush-the-idiot had put 'enough boots on the ground' right after 9/11 in Afghanistan and had pacified Afghanistan AFTER winning the confidence of Pakistani military then, yes, Iran would be the next 'logical' target. But Bush screwed up doubly and the result is that Americans can't even make a commander of Gen. McC's stature do his job for 1 year in Afghanistan without firing him.

It is too late for any joint American-Israeli operation against Iran. Too few resources. Too much global hostility. Too powerful Iran.

PS. Someone needs to kick out the so-called 'moderate' rulers of KSA, Egypt and Jordan from power and introduce 'real democracy' for a change there.

What people dont understand is that this news is nothing but a big pile of rubbish, the Saudis are not so stupid that they will want to instigate a revolt in their eastern provinces where they have a sizable shia minority, whose loyalties lies more with Iran then the Saudis them selves.

the last thing Saudi Arabia wants is Iraqi style sectarian violence, not to mention Hezbollah style guerrilla groups supported by Iran. Of course they are going to allow shias in, but deep down they consider them good for nothing kafirs.
