What's new

Religion is a private matter of an individual: DG ISPR

I think you are reading too much into this
I would be a fool to think that one statement at one moment in time in one location is going to change everything. No. I consider this as route marker toward the future.

People voted for them. Not their policies.
Semantics. Fact. They were the manifestation of the collective democratic will of the people at those points in time.

They were selected not elected.

A kid knows that

They were selected not elected.
By whom? Martians? Indians? Let me guess. The Americans? One minute you were singing songs about the "dremoctatic will" and now it has shrunk faster then my penis when exposed to freezing cold water.

Now your banging on about "selected". What happened to the "will". The will to "have a Islamic state"? Was that not "selected"? No. Let me guess that is the genuine will of the people.

Fact for you. The same rotten, corrupt diseased system that threw up or selected or whatever the sleeze bags I listed earlier like Zardari also threw up the "Islamic state".

The people still say they were never represented.

It's an ongoing process to formulate democracy.

You seem to be in a hurry

Define Islam first in Pakistan... Few generation will cut each other defining just that and than comes new generation who will brand their own interpretation over Islam. I will take a neutral stand over his statement, unnecessarily Important statement from ispr.

Actually that's only partially true.

Under Sharia, non Muslim communities can deal with certain issues among themselves without state interference, and be subject to different rules and regulations.

Personal laws are protected. Like marriage or inheritance if wished upon.
Only when the state is asked to be a witness they get that too.

This is just propaganda from the left loonies and right loonies.

Problem is just implementation of the law.

All the fight is.... About how to delay

I don't know when religion became personal business 3 years back my younger brother applies for ISSB and he was made to fill a form and under religion section there was a clause about finality of Prophet Mohamed PBUH and candidate must signed that he is not following Ahmaidya and off shoot Lahori Group.

But I believe before 1979 the personal already inducted still serving even on General post. Some doubts about Gen Bajwa and I believe N.S knowngly appoints him since non Muslim can't became president or chief executive so there is no chance for COAS to do coup against N.S but know since army is lashing PMLN daily they got agitated and wants to blackmail COAS by bringing his religion in parliament.

COAS is married to niece of Maj. Gen. Iftikhar Janjua, a member of Ahmadia community and buried in Bahisti Maqbra Chnabnagar (Rabwa)
Yes, you are correct, that's why NS chose him. He thought Bajwa would be a submissive person.

All hassle and tassel on Subject of Religion and on Khatm e Nabuwat laws going on in National Assembly and in ISPR press releases is in relation to family background of Gen. Bajwa.

.
Democratic will. Let me give faces to that "will" you idiot.

* Z. Bhutto
* B. Bhutto
* Asif Zaradari
* Altaf the don of MQM
* Nawaz Sharif

All these and more corrupt to the core were also the "democratic will" of the people.

don't stick to personalities... they all got what they deserved.... build the system... be patient

Rome wasn't built in one day

I do not see religion as a private matter of an individual.

There is no separation of state and religion in Islam.

Separation of state and religion is a western concept.
You are wrong when you say religion is not private matter of an individual
There needs to be a soft separation between religion and state. But religious scholars should strictly stay away from state matters and politics.

https://abuaminaelias.com/separation-of-mosque-and-state-in-islam/

So the current system in Pakistan is totally wrong model as per islamic guidelines and it needs to be changed

ispr should avoid speaking on matters of which they are not expert as it will damage army image
This goes for every man in Pakistan. Fatwas are a norm there and in fashion these days. We need to develop some flexibility towards others point of view. As in this case we need to listen what ispr is saying and understand before chanting slogan or taking hardline as such

the height of hypocrisy in this country is we have habit of using religion to shield our personal motives. and then there are people in this country even on this forum (having the mindset that sells vote for biryani) that smell something fishy about COAS just because ISPR has given statement about religion being a personal matter of an individual. They even forgot same COAS performed Umrah in the city where non muslims are not allowed by KSA govt

They also forgot current COAS was appointed on the recommendations of outgoing COAS RS then.
https://thewire.in/82852/pakistan-new-army-chief-heres-know/
"Nawaz Sharif may have exercised some discretion in making this choice, though it is likely that the recommendation of the current army chief, General Raheel Sharif, was given due weightage. The timing of the announcement is significant, coming as it does while Nawaz Sharif has just returned to the country from a visit to Turkmenistan. This would suggest there was no real civil-military discord over this choice."
If we keep going like this,this country is damned for sure because we are the masters of hypocrisy we will be demanding rights for muslims all over the world while we slit throats of our own minorities even discrediting the role they have played for saving this country
just because of this attitude we lost many genius minds like Abdus Salam and we are ready to lose more

. .
And an Indian living here knows Pakistan and Pakistanis better than any Brit or American does or would.

Are you seriously out of your MIND? You think as an Indian, you have a better grip of what is happening in Pakistan than @Kaptaan who is a Pakistani.

When you write crap such as this, you really justify my statement that you're out of your mind.

Pakistan is well on its way to becoming a hostile and very radicalized colony of China. This is the reality.
