You bought the t-80 back in the 90s from leftover soviet factories and stock lying around in tge Ukraine.
Mi-35s would be trickier, but from india's perspective we would prefer Pakistanis to buy them, make a great fit with the jf-17s - both obsolete, and both immobilised as soon as hostilities break out and Russia puts a squeeze in engines and parts.
