When his condition was that nawaz makes him power minister and it wasn't fulfilled, he isn't obliged. This is common sense.

And even if he appoints the power minister and what not, he isn't obliged by his promise anymore.

Finally to blame cm for central govt failure is nuts. It's like blaming New York governor for Americas war on terror.

Minister of Punjab fulfills promises (though he has broken a few) that were under his belt. I don't understand why the failure of another minister is being blamed on cm. A cm has to look after the province, not power about entire nation. Nawaz is a powerful man but can you blame him for failure of military (an example). No. It doesn't work like that. You're treating shahbaz as if he is as powerfully as nawaz, when he's equally as Perez khartack or other provinces minister. Also he gave promise before election, not while he's sitting in his seat.

Honestly something is wrong with you and I don't feel like you're worth anymore of my time. Sorry if I'm coming off rude but you really need to understand the structure of govt before commenting. If you're wrong, then accept it instead of further coming with more twists.

And I'll give you one point. After 18 amendment, the provinces can create electricity themselves. So Shahbaz can definitely do something more about it. But again, he isn't obliged by his previous promise because he didn't went on to become minister for power.

Also learn difference of power minister and power. Minister of power is what I mean by the guy who is responsible for electricity. You have to understand what I'm saying when by reading full sentence, not cherry picking my words and quote them in a way to prove your point.

Let's do a bit of history and basic numeracy:


Nawaz Shareef

• Finance Minister Punjab from 1979 to 1985 (72 months)
• CM Punjab from 1985 to 1988 (36 months)
• CM Punjab from 1988 to 1990 (24 months)
• PM Pakistan 1990 to 1993 (30 months)
• PM Pakistan 1997 to 1999 (30 months)
• PM Pakistan 2013 to date (17 months)

• Total Governance = 209 months

Shahbaz Shareef

• Cabinet Minister Punjab 1985 to 1990 (60 months)
• CM Punjab 1990 to 1993 (30 months)
• CM Punjab 1997 to 1999 (30 months)
• CM Punjab 2008 to date (75 months)

• Total Governance = 195 months

Total Governance PML-N (209 + 195) = 404 months


Pakistan Peoples Party

• ZA Bhutto 1972 to 1977 (60 months)
• BB 1988 to 1990 (20 moths)
• BB 1993 to 1997 (33 months)
• Zardari 2008 to 2013 (60 months)
• Sindh Govt about (203 months)

• Total Governance PPP = 376 months

TOTAL GOVERNANCE PMLN + PPP (404 + 376) = 780 MONTHS




Now tell me what have these two parties achieved in 780 MONTHS? And what right do they have to ask PTI and IK for their 17 months performance?

Please be mindful that 17 is 2.18% of 780. Which means those who ruled for 97.82% of the democracy period in Pakistan are holding those accountable whose total governance is a mere 2.18%.

Those who are gonna come up with: Army didn't let PMLN / PPP complete their terms etc cr@p. These 17 months of KP govt have also been troublesome. They have leg pulling coalition partners who are whining a lot at almost every issue since start, they have terrorism issues in province since KP is right next to a battle zone and no investor is willing to go their etc. The point is, every govt had issues of their own, stop whining and let us know what exactly has been done to exploit the natural resources, minerals, man power of this nation till date?

When it comes to their own accountability the answer is: System is in danger, democracy will be overthrown, ban this channel, ban that anchor, replace that institutional head, change that Judge, and so on and on.

I think you've missed the purpose of this thread, by several miles at least. You want to debate about the 90 days change IK promised or the performance of KPK govt hence far? Sure, start a new thread about it and ping me there. I'll be happy to oblige, my dear friend.

Now the purpose of this thread was solely to highlight the time for which N-League and PPP have ruled this country over the years and what exactly they have brought to this country in their tenures. I think the best way to analyze this is using simple arithmetic, if you have better way then please enlighten me.

Its astonishing to see how the parties and supporters of the parties, who have failed to deliver after ruling for so many years, are pointing fingers at a new party who just ruled for mere 17 months. Its amazingly ridiculous how you guys whine about the 90 days change IK promised while you shamelessly fail to raise your eyebrow even once at the failed promises of Shahbaz / Nawaz / Zardari. Recently hundreds of new born babies died in Faisalabad because of faulty ventilator machines in hospital, but that doesn't concern you and your lot, given that Shahbaz is ruling the province for 4th time, 2nd time in a row. Kids are dying in Sindh due to drought but that is not your concern obviously, right?

You should be least concerned about the promises of IK and performance of KP govt because even if they have messed things up, they have done so during just 17 months. While Benazir, Nawaz, Shahbaz, Zardari etc are messing up things even badly since past 3 decades.

Before you waste your time reading my post and not understanding slightest of it (the post can be read by others to understand how silly you're), you need to take a step away from this thread and learn about politics.

Yes COAS is more powerful than a chief minister. Now is he responsible for load shedding? There is a damn reason why we have power ministry. And education ministry and whatnot. Otherwise, per your day, we will just have one chief minister who'll run the entire affairs of the province and country.

I'll close with the above statement. You need to learn about the roles.

Just for your general info:The Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan Army, (reporting name: COAS), is the four-star rank appointment in the Pakistan Army, held by the senior four-star rank officer appointed by the President of Pakistan, on a summary sent by the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

Otherwise, per your day, we will just have one chief minister who'll run the entire affairs of the province and country.

As per my say...We are comparing 1 guy : SS who either gets power mister or CHIEF minister post.....

We have teachers to teach....but a headmaster to check the teachers do their job, get it? So the headmaster can appoint the teachers, enter classes and check what is being taught and many other powers...
