Heard K-Electric owes a lot of money to SSGC, maybe that is why full generation capacity is not being utilized.

Way mote than 35billion just look at initial cost of NJ in PPP time and its real cost now

As pet wapda estimate the cost of basha was 15 billion Dollar in 2010, and now in 2016 , it has crossed 20 billion dollar.

Dasu dam cost was Rs 8 billion dollar as per 2010 PC1 estimates, which has now around 12 billion dollar.

N-League is on a mass transit system building spree in the whole country, they can install solar panels over the entire length of the corridors that they are building, that will add a few MWs to the grid.

Whether we like it or not, Kalla Bagh dam is still the most economical dam with cost of 7 billion dollar and it will complete in least possible time of 5 years.

Whereas for basha as per Wapda estimate it will take 10 Years to complete.

All these hydro power projects are yet to start.
Dash dam
Bunji dam
Basha dam
Karot dam etc
Non of these projects have started yet.

In case of basha , even purchase of land is still not completed.
All these projects need around 35 billion dollars and will complete some where after 2030

I never said they were going to be completed very quickly but they will provide us with a lot power. There are many more projects as well. Neelum Jhelum dam is expected to be completed by the end of this year.

Yes, there is a circular debt type problem. Govt (sindh) institutions do not pay k-electric, so they do not pay pso and ssgc. Further k-electric itself not utilizing their plants to full capacity bcz of high price/unit of furnace oil.
They have plans for converting them to coal and buy electricity after port qasim coal plants are built

Majority of the projects mentioned were not part of cpec we took loans from adb for them ,they were statrted during Musharaf and PPP tenure Nawaz just has a bad habit of claiming other people work for himself

Dear neelum Jhelum is not a dam , its a run of river hydro power project. NJ is under construction for the last 15 years and it is near completion now.

All things aside, people themselves are involved in electricity theft, here in my neighbourhood the voltage is only 160-180 in peak times because every one has 2 to 3 acs running on kunda and wapda man takes 500-1000 rupees on one kunda, people like me end up paying there theft money by high amount of bills while they enjoy 1000-1500 tier of monthly bill -.-

If u have 0.1% idea of all the projects in progress, u would not have said that. Yes ending loadshedding is a dream, but if this govt and next govt continue the progress, it is possible. Dont bcm narrowminded by involving politics in national issues. If NS run and complete projects, i will appraise him, and if next govt do, i will again do same. Idont care whichever idiot is in power!
